Last week in Cologne I showed how you can use the GitHub Copilot App and Foundry to build an agent you can deploy across Teams, Outlook or an app of your choice. I also showed how you can integrate our new Decision 1 model for intent classification. I'm interested in agents that can recognise intent and then take action independetly if they decide they can be helpful, so this was fun to show!

definitely doesn’t cost the same to produce.
Let me give you a lesson in marketing Do you see the two set of beers? One is zero alcohol beer so there is no excise tax (sin tax) on it The other beer has alcohol so excise tax is charged on it Every thing is the same on the two beers except for the alcohol content By this logic, we should pay LESS for the non-alcoholic booze because it doesn’t get charged extra tax & costs exactly the same to make as its alcoholic counterpart. But the normal consumer on the street does not understand this. So marketers take advantage & sell the non-alcoholic beer at the same price as the alcoholic beer thus they make a BIGGER MARGIN on the non alcoholic beverage as they need to pay more tax to SARS for alcoholic drinks but ZERO tax on non alcoholic. Your example works the same way … the halaal meat makes less margin because Woolies needs to pay over an amount to have a Halaal stamp on their food The savings is not passed onto the consumer, businesses take advantage of this knowledge gap to increase their margins Thus this compliance cost increases the our basket cost

Fuck. Noticed yesterday but didn’t think too much about it
Anthropic may have just klled REA. Users are reporting that Claude now hits a safety check when asked to use REA (Reverse Engineer Anything) for detailed reverse-engineering work, even after completing the research. REA itself is an open-source MCP tool that lets AI coding agents inspect software locally, trace how features work, and use that information to build compatible implementations

In the airport about to head back home after our final stop in Cologne🇩🇪 So grateful for the opportunity to be part of @satyanadella’s crew. Finally even got a group picture together! We’re building some amazing tech at Microsoft. Will share more from this trip soon❤️

Built Gatepass, a simpler app for estates that use ATG (At The Gate). I like apps that are easy to use, and the ATG app always felt like too much, especially just to reinvite someone who's been before. One tap makes a code for Uber, Mr D, Takealot, Zulzi etc. For a person it's just their name, valid all day, and past visitors are one tap to invite again. Share the code, a link or a QR pic. Sign in with SMS or WhatsApp. If your estate uses ATG and you want to try it, check link below for the Android APKs. Will include iOS TestFlight invite below as well. It's unofficial and not affiliated with ATG, so if they change their API it might break until I fix it. ….and yes my name butchered🤦🏿‍♂️🫠

Your Claude Code skills might not be firing. Every enabled skill's description goes into context on every request, capped at about 1%. Go over and the least-used ones are silently dropped. So I built Skillshed: vetted skills for Claude Code and Codex, switched on per project. 🧵
