Every club needs a player and dressing-room presence like Ryan Yates. #NFFC

I'm a Forest fan, I'm also a scout & a data analyst. There's lots I can interpret from watching games & looking at the numbers.
Arguably the most important stuff happens behind closed doors though - none of us see it.
There's a reason why Ryan Yates is the #NFFC captain.

Only one team is top 3 in both xG and lowest xG against this PL season.
That team is Nottingham Forest.

Superb from Liam Delap, just what you want to see from him, barnstorming run, ruthless finish, pure confidence. England squad level in form like that. Not about ability or work-rate with Delap but consistency, discipline, fitness. #NFFC have given him a great stage to perform on.

Nottingham Forest’s win against Manchester City isn’t a fluke, but a sign of things to come.
They may be hovering above the relegation zone, but Forest have the underlying numbers of a Champions League team.

Oliver Glasner says in all of the hundreds of matches he’s played and managed, he’s never heard a more inspiring address than the one captain Ryan Yates gave to the @NFFC players just before they went out today.

Ryan Yates manhandling Enzo Fernandez, followed by a bicycle kick to clear the ball, trademark MGW counter attacking run, finished with a thunderstrike from Delap

Oliver Glasner has truly arrived at the City Ground. That is a statement win and performance. Forest players responded fully to Glasner’s challenge in the week. Oliver wanted more. And they delivered. Club so much stronger when fully united from dressing-room to dug-out, stands & boardroom #NFFC #NFOMCI
