And what does that say about maths the rest of the year? Our latest blog explores how joy + rigour can (and should!) coexist. ✨ Read the blog: axiommaths.com/blog/why-fun-…

🌀 With almost 1800 pupils at Billericay school, recruiting a ‘normal’ maths circle of 10 or less could’ve been a real puzzler. As a solution, Mentor Mr Ivanovas invited sixth formers to become Junior Mentors and support the 21 interested pupils. Pupils learn to "never give up" and tackle problems step-by-step. A room full of energy, noise, and inspiration!🧩 You can read the full case study on our website. #KS3Maths

👏 Good news in the Curriculum and Assessment Review We're pleased to see the Curriculum & Assessment Review taking action on some of the big issues in maths education, including the challenges raised in our research -axiommaths.com/blog/the-year… The Review calls for better sequencing across key stages so pupils master the fundamentals before moving on. It recognises the crucial impact of the transition from primary to secondary school and highlights the need to practise non-routine problem-solving that challenges pupils to succeed in a changing world. This is exactly what inspires our work at Axiom Maths. Our curriculum teaches pupils to tackle challenging problems by developing a rich knowledge of mathematics. Pupils learn to recognise and apply the patterns of reasoning behind powerful mathematics, empowering them to solve exciting problems.
