Yes. I lost my entire circle in 400L & I’m still not fully over how lonely I have became afterwards.
We were that tight group of five girls. Same hostel block, same dept in Funaab, same everything. Every weekend was either someone’s birthday or a party, But something happened...
I remembered that exact feeling in 300L at FUNAAB, during one of those departmental group presentations where they mixed people randomly.
They put me in a group with four people who were pure first-class material. One of them... A SHORT THREAD 🧵

Maybe that’s the reason why buhari didn’t write a book to defend himself and his administration?

It feels surreal to be invited back to the Department of Political Science, University of Ibadan, where I had my first degree, to speak on “2027 in View: Youth as Partners in National Development.”
From being a student in those lecture rooms to returning as a guest speaker is a privilege I do not take for granted.
As we approach the 2027 general elections, we will explore how young people can shape political discourse, engage meaningfully in governance, and contribute to national development before, during and beyond the elections.
I believe youth participation must go beyond voting and campaigning. Young people must be active partners in policy conversations, accountability and nation-building.
I am truly honoured by this invitation and look forward to an engaging conversation with the next generation of leaders.
Thank you, Department of Political Science, University of Ibadan.

Let me burst your head.
There’s this new trend in some schools where a whole class will suddenly surprise their lecturer mid-lecture by bringing out cartons of drinks, bags of rice, gallons of oil, envelopes and drop everything in front of the class as a form of “appreciation, or calling it love.
You dare not try that kind of thing in UI. The lecturer will likely report it immediately. The whole class will be summoned before the disciplinary panel. They will treat it as an attempt to influence or “sort” the lecturer, even if you swear it was just appreciation, and the entire class can get rusticated or be given extra year. That’s how they handle these things in UI.
UI doesn’t play with anything that looks like inducement, no matter how you package it. The system itself is very tight.
