If you make an @AmericanAir miles booking, you will get an email with the record locator and taxes paid, and another with the cost in miles. But if you want an email with the record locator and cost in miles, you have to put the reservation on hold, and purchase later.
@garyleff @OneMileataTime I think you need to expose the Aloft Tulum which charges a 10% premium if you want to pay by @AmericanExpress, even if it’s a @MarriottBonvoy Amex. They claim the rate is in USD and they give you a non-mkt xchg rate to MX pesos.
For Amex they’d only bill in MX pesos but their card machine can run V/MC in USD.
This is Mexico - default payment should be in MXP. Not USD.
If you want to be a Marriott hotel @MBonvoyAssist should force you to get a machine that takes Amex at a fair rate. Or @MarriottBonvoy should stop issuing @AskAmex Marriott cards if their hotels won’t accept them.
