in light of the HGSS discussion on my twitter ive decided i must replay it. here is the masochistic ruleset this time around
HGSS are wonderful games. That being said, I think a lot of people’s gripes with the level curve would be resolved if it had GSC’s phone system. For whatever reason, they nerfed how frequently NPCs call for rematches. In Gen 2, you could constantly make side quests to rematch
that being said though, the level curve is not an issue at all. i’ve played through this game hundreds of times and it’s always manageable being several levels below the bosses. it’s only an issue through the lens of the modern day nuzlocke bc you’re minmaxing to the ace’s level
this is the easiest meme template of all time and it still missed the comedic timing of putting leavanny last because it’s not only weak to fire, but also weak to flying
