A quest for an old photo and a sweet streaming show made me ponder heartbreak, evolution and how we touch each other's lives. Seven years to a new me.

Stock responses are callous. It does not matter what your trauma, sexuality or position on the spectrum is. If you aren't engaging with me as a person, you do not deserve to be treated as one.
My middle age has been building the ability to walk away from those who do not value me the way I deserve to be valued, and express it. I do not have to read anyone's mind or jump through hoops to beg them to treat me with respect. This ability has had to be built & maintained.
October is an unreliable, nasty month (so Libra). 2009, I dealt with 2 effbois. 2010 started NaNoWriMo, caught malaria on day3. Last year was a surgery gone wrong. This time, it's 2 visits to the ER & hospital stays in 10 days. Libra & its month is a dick.
When I was little, I thought lipstick was a maroon crayon that only aunties were allowed to eat. I remember being so surprised when I saw a magazine cover model in pink lipstick.
Hospital stay to attend to a family member. I’ve had to watch my food intake since I’m still in recovery. Had poha in the canteen today, hoping for safe. It was liberally coated with red chilli powder. Stomach still hurts.

I frequently eat Quaker’s oats and my annoying cousin calls it “tavudu” or cattle food.
This should be the defining aspect of modern Indian womanhood. My peers and the generations were spiteful, spineless, pick-me POS and continue to be monster mothers. But this generation stood up to cops during the CAA-NRC protests and now. These are the girls I aspire to be like.
International fashion is trying to make 'tired eyes' the fall 2026 makeup trend. I am too tired to roll my eyes, let alone spend money on that shit.
Rewatching S1 of 'Nobody Wants This'. Hoo boy the gaslighting of someone who doesn't have strong religious beliefs being 'bad'. As compared to what? An upholder of the religion responsible for the longest running genocide on the planet? Wow.
I’ve loathed Sally Rooney’s writing but I really respect her taking a political stance at this personal cost.
I’m loving holographic eyeliner. Matte colours look too heavy on my eyelids. And the subtle sparkles really work with my skin colour. Not to mention how it silences the racists when they realise this kaali aunty looks good and knows it.
