Encircling the Monument’s plinth are 30 roundels — each representing a nation that flew the Spitfire. Each 75cm insignia mirrors those once painted on the aircraft itself — a circle of courage, unity & international cooperation. Text ‘SPITFIRE’ to 70085 to donate £10 to NSP.

Replying to @heidimur
@heidimur a 30% value capture revenue stream will require enormous areas of rezoning - based on PBO assessment of the project, the ‘value capture’ would need to exceed the entire revenue from land tax in 22-23 .. roughly equating to a value capture zone the size of greater Melbourne
Net outcome is that:
1. Housing costs in the value capture zones will skyrocket flowing onto domestic rents & commercial leasing charges
2. Add on taxes & developer contributions will greatly escalate costs & therefore financing due to higher market risk
3. The build out time to achieve the 30% project cost equivalent revenue would be > 20 years. The cost of project debt in that period exceeds the potential revenue gain
SRL as a project concept definitely has merit (the entire loop inc the west) however the poor project scope and lack of delivery resilience makes any private sector uplift’risky business’

A sad day for so many on my social timelines. So many memories, some hilarious, some sad, but the biggest memories of all are about being with ordinary people who achieved extraordinary things with their grey and green Lockheed party machines. #AvGeek

I don’t think the Australian Open @AustralianOpen should go ahead.
Most of those involved are coming from extreme COVID-19 zones in Europe and the USA.
Let’s delay it until later in the year like the Grand Prix @ausgrandprix
