2 years ago I decided I wanted to officially get back into the Pokemon TCG hobby again, this time instead of just collecting. I wanted to start playing.
I picked up the Gardevoir and Charizard battle decks. Gardevoir wasn't my thing, zard was good after I upgraded. The first deck I built was Hydrapple EX! Which I recently played to the Louisville regional. The version of this deck was very different than it is now. I remember taking the deck list and importing it into tcgplayer to buy all the cards needed. Loved this deck and played it for my first few months.
Then I went to my first cup with a deck I last minute decided to play, which was Raging bolt EX. I immediately fell in love with it.
It was the perfect deck for my play style and I genuinely wanted to improve with this one deck. I only got to enjoy it in this form for a few months. But it's by far my favorite, so I remade my original deck using almost only Cosmo foil play Stamps. Or some of my favorite variants of certain cards. Raging bolt will be very missed come this rotation.

I’m moving and while taking out stuff of the room, under my bookshelf I found some stuff hidden there 😂
I have no idea how those ended there or when I even got them
So with TCGlive adding the ability to face friends in the TCGlive expanded format (SUM-Current)
I'm excited to hopefully see a surge of online Expanded tournaments or even past format tournaments starting at SUM.
I'm not too familiar at BW-XY sets as I didn't play, but which cards hurt the expanded format by not having them? Is it really that different not including those sets.
Also will this be the resurgence of the expanded format and we will actually see a meta take shape over the next few months?
One of my favorite pages in my PC. Mcdonalds cards have not been interesting in years. This is 2019s set. One of my favs

I just noticed that these Pokemon look very similar. Jigglypuff doesn't seem to evolve from igglybuff though? Is this a mistake? Is this gonna be a reveal in Winds and Waves and I caught it early? Even the names sounds similar…

Excited for my Pokepad restock this week.

Card Counting with Alakazam!
Mega Lucario ex has 340 HP.
Based on the board state shown, what is the maximum damage Alakazam can deal with Powerful Hands this turn?
A) 0
B) 280
C) 300
D) 340
Look carefully at the board, your hand, what can evolve, and the resources available.
Think you can get it right? Drop your answer — and your sequence — in the comments. 👇
Share this with a friend who thinks they can count it correctly.
Think better. Play better.

So this is interesting. Set release day of February 5th.
So most likely scenario is
Delta Reign
Flowing Fist
Mega X Mega Parade (English equivalent)
Rotation hitting when Mega X Mega parade becomes legal.
Curious is they’re going to keep Mega block going. With winds and waves on the horizon in most likely fall of 2027. Will EXstar be winds and waves or more continuation from mega block?
