Exactly. Algorand owns the quantum game in crypto. Needs to be a technical tour de force out there publicly slamming that message home IMO. Algorand is the Daddy of PQC, own the narrative.
Algorand needs to scream "quantum secure" till the whole of CT's ears bleed

Our new CEO, William Herkelrath, took your questions in a Community AMA on Reddit, covering everything about Algorand. Key highlights: 🎯 Self-sustainability is the number one priority for Algorand 2.0, and William believes it's achievable in under 5 years. Every existing initiative and partnership is being reviewed against that goal. 💰 The plan is to deliver services the market will pay for, then use that new revenue to become net buyers of $ALGO and increase payouts to node operators. 🔐 Network security is Algorand's biggest competitive advantage, and we will be doubling down on it. That includes offering PQ attestation and validation services to other chains, pursuing non-crypto use cases, and exploring how Algorand's PQ stack can help secure tokenized stock markets. 🏢 Enterprises will soon be able to use the Algorand network without touching $ALGO directly. 🌉 Multi-chain support is a core part of the 2027 strategy, with cross-chain bridging, swapping, and messaging as priorities. More detail on implementation is expected in early Q1 2027. 🤝 William spent most of his first month on business development and partnerships, with a focus on bringing more mainstream partners, workloads, and traffic onto the network. ⛽ There are no plans to raise transaction fees. Charging more for higher-value products and services at the application layer may be explored instead. 💧 On DeFi liquidity, Algorand is open to low-risk opportunities that support network self-sustainability and has already reviewed a few pitches. 📜 Algorand already holds several patents and is likely to pursue more, particularly to protect services built on open-source tech. 🗓️ On the King Safety paper, William is taking several months to settle in before executing a new plan, with updates on timelines and milestones to follow.

Zero downtime after 64 million blocks and 3.69 billion transactions is reliability. Handling upwards of 10,000 TPS is reliability. Being ready for the quantum future since 2022, with 1.5 million post-quantum transactions, is reliability for the foreseeable future.

The best tech in the game just got an upgrade. Algorand v5.0.0 is now live on mainnet. Smart contracts are now twice as large, with post-quantum accounts and resource-based pricing.

A post-quantum candidate was pulled after an AI halved its key strength in 60 hours. Two years of human review had missed it. Security is the meta now. Our timeline: Falcon State Proofs, 2022 First PQ txn on MainNet, Nov 2025 Shared Accounts, April 2026 Native Post-Quantum Accounts, August 2026

Given Algorand’s currently low volume, limited TVL, slow rate of adoption, and the risk of failure due to insufficient self-sufficiency, what justification exists for the foundation to continue selling $ALGO tokens? Such sales would likely add further downward pressure on the token’s price particularly in a bear market, erode confidence among users, investors, and institutions, and place the network itself at risk of failure. Just reading discussions within the community, the sentiment is evident, with the view being one of pessimism toward the foundation. Many community members express the belief that the chain is unlikely to achieve self sufficiency. Something must be done. The lack of prioritization and mismanagement are deeply concerning. I am a true Algorand supporter. I will stay on the ship, but hopefully I don’t have to sink with it.

Algorand v5.0.0 has reached 90% support and will now activate after the cooldown period. This is the biggest upgrade since staking rewards, bringing native post-quantum accounts, more powerful smart contracts, and a more flexible fee model. Thank you to all the node runners.

Tbh, while you're focused exclusively on revenue, 1M+ REAL people outside our web3 bubble use Algorand without even realizing it via @HesabPay_ We're talking about people who can access financial services they've been excluded from their ENTIRE lives, thanks to blockchain, and Algorand. That's also 30% of ALL electricity bills in an entire country (Afghanistan) being paid using Algorand through HesabPay! I could also mention the 40,000+ people using @lofty_ai on Algorand to invest in real estate and generate income, tons of industry giants working with projects like @1to3carbon on Algorand, @lavazza, @wtrtoken... or even @EnelGroup, one of the world's largest energy providers, letting thousands of Italian customers invest in green energy and lower their electricity bills without installing anything at home, all powered by $ALGO! And tbh that's actually just a SMALL glimpse of what is already powered by @Algorand. Also FYI, @DefiLlama unfortunately doesn't account for all stablecoins on Algorand (cf HAFN), most RWAs aren't counted either (including $100M+ TVL from @lofty_ai and $55M+ from @exodus, etc.) Liquid staking isn't included in your screenshot either for DeFi TVL. For context, fees on Algorand have always been extremely low, can you believe you can currently make 1M transactions for less than $100? 🤯 Algorand is one of the cheapest blockchains/DLTs on the market! But IMO, I agree that's probably too low. Generating meaningful revenue under these conditions requires massive on-chain activity (even if agentic commerce could help!) I'd also say that, just my 2cts, unlike many chains, Algorand doesn't necessarily need the same level of fee revenue to be sustainable, partly because running a validator is relatively inexpensive and requirements are low. It's quite hard imo to compare that directly with chains where operating validators is much more expensive (by far!) But I agree that current fee revenue is still far from what would be needed for full long-term sustainability. And actually that's precisely something Algorand is working on: 1) the v5.0 consensus upgrade currently being adopted introduces a resource-based fee model 2) the community will be able to decide what it considers best for the network's long-term sustainability once the Project King Safety positioning paper is publicly released IMO, if you fade Algorand just because of its current revenue, you're missing the whole point. nitter.gq/AlgoFoundation/status/…
Algorand raised $126 MILLION and now generates $9.68 in daily chain revenue. Yes, $9.68. Meanwhile: • Market cap: $708.01M • $ALGO: down 97.8% from ATH • DeFi TVL: $27.27M Imagine raising $126M to build a blockchain that now makes less in a day than someone’s lunch.

Algorand v5.0.0 was released today. Node runners will now vote on this consensus upgrade. If it passes: • Post-quantum accounts at the protocol level • Fees that price what a transaction actually contains • A bigger, more flexible AVM Learn more in our blog below 👇
