experimented with making an animated short for @contavcbr over the weekend
first pass from my AI assisted content studio workflow 🤩
trying to build our own visual language for product storytelling🦜
would love feedback on this direction, much appreciated :)

70% of Conta's gross profit came in the last 30 days, with every single day closing green.
our business model: every pix a user makes costs us a fixed fee, and every time a user sends or receives dollars we charge a variable fee.
when total fees exceed total pix costs we are gross profitable, and that has held every day for the last 30 days.
here are this week's highlights:
- volume grew 30% compared to last week's, reaching $655.8k all-time
- september closed at 2x august's volume ($374k vs $183k)
- 70% of our all-time gross profit of $4,007.48 came in the last 30 days
- all-time high of 218 WAU, with 1,983 wallets created
- lowest weekly count of fraud attempts so far
- started executing our GTM strategy
- first $5k TVL on Reserva vaults
the first thing to address this week: @contavcbr was selected as 1 of 10 teams, out of 750 applications, for @base batches.
with base batches we move from a mvp stage into a pre-seed, using @buildonbase's amplification and mentoring to build a safer and easier to use application.
we also started executing our GTM strategy. it took several weeks of reading data, internal discussion and advice from mentors and advisors to align it with the problem we are solving, our ICP and what the team is able to execute.
the strategy works as concentric circles. the inner circle is a segment where we already have channels and contacts, people who understand the pain and trust the technology. each next layer moves toward less crypto-native users, and our most active users become the channels that distribute the app to the next layer.
distribution and CAC decide whether this business works. we are moving as fast as is comfortable: testing channels, reading the data, and pushing or pivoting based on results, without adopting the playbook of a series A company.
our targets for the next 60 days are $500k in monthly volume and 300 WAU, up from 218 today.
// for brazilian creators and marketers: if you want to work with us, check our creator briefing at hackmd.io/@thedonkey/Sky7TOA… and reach out via DMs or t.me/contavc.
this week we also launched Reserva, our savings vaults, which reached $5k TVL in its first week. this video explains the feature, with english subtitles: nitter.gq/Thedonkey/status/21060…
the product itself is a saving account, a saving feature and a growth flywheel in a single part of the app. we trust this to be one of the core angles on user's relationship with Conta, allowing them to frictionlessly save money and help kill their debts. Reserva is the first product of a framework we have envision to deliver the best value possible to our ICP.
also this week, lot of improvements on the app stability and a new function for users to add a multiple passkeys to access their accounts.
the team started building and testing enterprise account for MEIs, a type of entity for micro companies in Brazil, where we want to deliver an easy to use powerful application for business owners to receive money from their clients, to accept credit cards (working with @SaturdayBank on this) using their phones and help them manage their finances separated from their personal ones.
excited for the week ahead.
as always
we keep building.
our latest update in @contavcbr : Reserva
401k inspired saving account
growth flywheel for referrals
roundup saving function
all in one, simple to use, feature.

if you saw the news and want to learn about what we're building at @contavcbr : this post's for you.
Conta is a payments account for brazil. the balance sits in a local stablecoin in reais (local currency), and only the user can move it. it's a self-custodial wallet fully abstracted to a non-crypto user being able to use it.
two facts about brazil explain why we built this way:
first is brazil's instant payment system: pix, operated bt the central bank and free for individuals settling it transactions in seconds, at any hour, 24/7.
in 2025, PIX moved $6.9 trillion across 79.8 billion transactions, while visa and mastercard combined moved close to $880 billion and 48.1 billion transactions.
170 million ppl (79% of the population) use PIX on their day to day lifes.
second is the automatic debt collection where, in brazil, a bank can debit incoming funds from a client's account to cover a debt owed to that bank. no questions asked.
the authorization is in the account contract and the debit runs before the client chooses what to pay. a salary arrives, and part or all of it goes to a credit card balance, an overdraft or late fees.
serasa, brazil's largest credit bureau, counted 83.9 million people in default in july 2026, roughly half of the adult population.
also, brazil's central bank data shows that households spent 28.9% of their monthly income on debt payments in june 2026, the highest level in the series, with averages interest rates for 60% a year, going upto 436% a year for credit card debts.
paying this is mathematically impossible.
that said, a brazilian in debt cannot safely receive money in their own account, because the bank can take it, that's why millions of brazilians receive their salary in the account of a relative or a friend.
money that cannot stay in an account cannot accumulate, and if you can't accumulate, you can't save money to try to get better deals renegotiating the debt. the leverage is unbalanced.
that's why we built Conta: no third party can debit, freeze or seize the balance, and that includes banks, creditors and Conta.
only the user holds the keys that move the funds, it's self-custodial technology in the hands of a regular housewife, a plumber, a single mom, an uber, an entrepreneur, anyone.
a salary that lands in Conta stays there until the user decides where it goes.
the account in Conta does three things:
it receives pix from any pix key
it sends pix to any pix key
it pays any pix qr code
transfesr takes about 12 seconds on average, users open their accounts using only their face's or fingerprints (passkey), and the app looks excatly like the banking apps brazilians already use.
underneath, the balance is held in a local stablecoins (@norafinancexyz ) pegged to the real, on @base.
they sit in a self-custodial smart wallet created at the first passkey login, where fully account abstraction sponsors every transaction, so the user never pays gas or have to learn about networks, tokens or slippage.
an user can send any token from any evm network to their Conta address and convert with one click to their BRS balance, in under ten seconds, with no bridge, no dex and no network selection.
a token the user never learned to use becomes a balance that pays a pix, none of this is visible in the app, and the word crypto appears nowhere the user can see.
Conta offers no credit and charges no interest.
no Conta product earns more when the user owes.
we are bringing onchain technology to tackle real world problems, building the app that will retire banks and bring 80 million ppl onchain.

seguimos :)
