If she actually really cared about his opinions, she would know that he always talked about unity among the marginalised. You see-liberal feminists like Ruchika would always want to capture discourse. You would never see her amplifying Dalit and Muslim women voices but cry-
Ironically for all the support that Sharjeel has for his brand of religious supremacism, it is because of religious supremacism that he's unjustly incarcerated, albeit a different brand. Just goes on to show how dangerous religious supremacism is, it has no place for minorities, women and the caste marginalised. All brands of religious supremacism must be condemned unequivocally!

Dr Ruchika is worried of Islam when Muslims are being killed in daylight just for their identity .Denouncing Muslims who are believer in the abstract just because they quoted quranic verses while Hindutva fascists are genociding Muslims is not secularism .It is objectively aiding the enemy. This is the same error the "new atheists" made when they provided ideological cover for the "war on terror."
Terrible person to bring to the debate. Maulana Aazad was a strong proponent of secularism and unlike Sharjeel did not believe liberation can only come with ahl e kitab. Azad was also fairly critical of Islam and did not regard it as some pure, blemish free entity that Sharjeel regards it. Sharjeel's idea of Islam is a Hindutvawadi's idea of Hinduism.

this is sending me for so many reasons but i absolutely love how sanghi ID-ing if ideological opponents is always something like "CIA funded vatican jihadi communist" like what are you even talking about

For those who cry hoarse about medieval Muslim rulers imposing jizya on their Hindu subjects, and their supposed bigotry, here's a few of the taxes imposed on Kashmiri Muslims by the Dogra regime in the late 1800s. To start with, a tax for the maintenance of Hindu temples. (1/n)

iron and stone would melt from the sighs of my grieving heart,
yet your heart does not soften; ah, what a strange creature you are!
i became dust upon your path, hoping to be beneath your feet,
