DEEP Robotics put out a batch of research yesterday, and the part I keep thinking about is the data side.
Their LynxScenes dataset is 833.6 hours and 3,294.7 km of real outdoor robot operation. In another test, a wheel legged robot’s success rate went from 25% to 65% after policy post-training. These are company reported results from their own preprints, so take them as claims for now.
My take: the more capable these models get, the more obvious it is that simulation alone doesn’t cover the real world. Snow, wet roads and odd layouts all have to come from somewhere.
That’s the gap I find interesting about @vangrid_io. Phones capture real places, the fingerprints get anchored on Base, and you can check the activity yourself at explorer.vangrid.io

Most people talk about blockchain speed, fees, and scalability.
But what about security 5 or 10 years from now?
That’s something I find interesting about @Starknet .
It’s an Ethereum L2 that uses STARK proofs to make transactions more scalable, but there’s another side to it.
With quantum computing and AI getting more advanced, the way blockchains protect themselves might need to evolve too.
Starknet is exploring ways to make security more adaptable, from programmable accounts to the possibility of building its own L1.
Of course, none of this means Starknet is fully quantum safe today.
But I think being able to adapt matters just as much as being secure right now.
Curious to see where this goes.
