I just discovered that in Raycast you can set a dictation style to speak in one language and have it generate the transcription in another.
Prompt of the day:
/grill-me on how a /software-factory might help us
Helps you figure out if a software factory can help you, and brainstorms the infra you need to set it up.

1/ I sat down with @mattpocockuk and asked about the most valuable AI skill to learn for 2027.
His answer was communication, because the clarity of your thinking ends up in what you build.
No model can read your mind, so whoever explains what they want best gets the best output.

i got 9M views in the past 3 months, then X changed its algo a lot, so I read the code to keep playing the game (it's open source)
Here's how X actually ranks posts (Oct 2026)
- Copy-link share 20. Reply 5. Quote 5. DM share 5. Follow 4. Repost 1. Like 0.5.
- Likes barely move the score. Write things people copy the link to, argue with, or send to a friend.
- The first 2 hours decide everything.
After 48 hours a post drops out of For You completely. Post when your audience is online, then stay in the replies.
- Build mutual follows. When you reply to a mutual follow inside your own thread, that reply gets an extra +15, for 20 total, the same as a copy-link share. Reply to the people who follow you back.
- Don't delete and repost to fix typos. Use edit.
- Images aren't penalized, but they should carry information. Real scenes, screenshots, and proof-style images work better, and multi-photo posts keep people on the post longer.
- Video: watch time currently counts for nothing. Only opening a video counts (0.07). Don't force video for the algorithm.
- Ordinary links aren't penalized (anymore); only malicious links are removed.
- Avoid negative feedback. Report −234, mute −58.8, "not interested" −47.5, block −31.2. Tagging strangers to ride a trend and clickbait headlines are the easiest ways to trigger them.
- Replies are scored by Grok from 0 to 3, and low-scoring replies sink to the bottom of the thread. Low-effort replies don't just fail to help, they get buried.

I love this concept of push reading vs pull reading.
Push reading means you pick up a book because it's popular, or someone recommended it, or it seems like something you should know about. Pull reading means you have a problem you can't solve and you go looking for someone who has solved it.
Push reading feels productive and rarely is. You have nowhere to put the ideas. They sit in your head as interesting, and interesting ideas fade within weeks.
Pull reading works because the problem sorts the information for you.
If your warehouse misses its shipping cutoff every Monday, you read The Goal very differently. You stop caring about the novel's plot. You go straight to the idea that a system's output is set by its slowest step, and you start wondering whether your bottleneck is picking, packing, or the carrier pickup window. You read with a pen in one hand and the floor layout in your head.
In practice that means keeping a short list of open problems, things you're stuck on at work or in training, and checking new books against it. If a book doesn't touch anything on the list, you can still read it. Just know you're reading for pleasure, and don't expect it to change anything.
No te desesperes.
“words become the interface between you and the genie”
i love writing. i never let agents write for me. whether it's docs, or tweets, or shitposts, or even prompts (okay maybe that one's harder as agents manage other agents)
there's a simple reason for that: i still strongly believe that writing is thinking. it's a skill i hope to never give up. it's also important to me that whatever i say is always authentic, mistakes and all. my favorite posts are the ones that i just full send without any editing
i suspect it also helps with prompting. being able to clearly express what i want, and knowing the vocabulary i need to be able to direct my agents does seem to make for more effective usage of agents. in the same way that engineers have an advantage when we prompt agents to write code, because we are intimately familiar with the words that make up the discipline
knowing the right word incantations to get an agent to produce a desired goal almost feels like spellcasting. as models get more capable, and that input box looks more and more like a magic box that can output anything, words become the interface between you and the genie
there may come a time when we give up the keyboard in exchange for brain-computer interfaces. but until then, i'm writing every word.

Look through the people I follow on X! That’s what I always do as well if I find someone I like, just look through the people they follow and you’ll likely find many gems.
