NEW: Russia is actively supporting Houthi operations to disrupt global energy markets by providing the Houthis with satellite imagery of Saudi oil and military infrastructure. Russian satellites have routinely been positioned above major Saudi energy and military sites in the days prior to and after Houthi attacks on those sites since July 2026. (1/2)

It’s fascinating how many Western politicians and commentators fixate on Putin as the sole cause of the war, ignoring centuries of Russian imperialism embedded in its institutions, history and state-society relations. Absolving Russia of collective responsibility helps no one.

Elon Musk claims that Ukraine allegedly violated Starlink's terms of use and used the system on combat drones. As someone who was inside the process at the Ministry of Defense, I can say with certainty that this is not true. In February of this year, whitelists were introduced. Stationary terminals could be registered by both military personnel and civilians. But for any satellite terminal to work while on the move, it had to be added to a special list and connected to the military Starshield system. Otherwise, no satellite communication terminals in Ukraine would work. In other words, using civilian Starlink for drone missions was technically impossible. All drone missions that required satellite communication could only be carried out using Starshield. We are very grateful to the United States and SpaceX for access to critically important satellite communications. Ukraine did not violate the terms of use.

This is what the stats look like when you’re a Ukrainian account on Elon Musk’s platform. Do any of the pro Ukrainian accounts have a similar curve over the past two weeks? P.S. I’ll bet $10 this post won’t get more than 1,000 views.

russia has run into serious problems with its offensive in Donbas, where its forces have become bogged down. One of the main reasons was that russian logistics had been crippled by Ukrainian drone strikes. This campaign depended heavily on Starlink terminals operating on high-speed Ukrainian drones. russian military command identified this as a critical problem and approached the American side, asking it to restrict the speeds at which Starlink terminals could operate. The argument was simple: there would be little public backlash because the US could still claim that Starlink was operational and that the service was still being provided. The Trump administration agreed to the restrictions, effectively solving a critical battlefield problem for Russia. As a result, russian logistics in Donbas are now safer, and Ukraine has lost an important advantage on the battlefield.

This is repellent if true. The US will rot in hell if this is the way they chose to be led.
BREAKING: Zelensky confirmed that Ukraine received no intelligence warning from partners ahead of last night’s Russian strike. “Unfortunately, there was no warning from our partners about this strike. Intelligence on the launch of Russian ballistic missiles helps save lives.”

August Hanning was head of Germany’s foreign intelligence service under Gerhard Schröder during the period in which Berlin got hooked on Russian energy, with Hanning backing Nord Stream 1. Days after Russia launched its full scale invasion of Ukraine, Hanning publicly argued Western arms deliveries wouldn’t make much difference and said he hoped “normal relations” with Russia could be restored soon. After the Nord Stream explosion, he quickly and baselessly made accusations about Polish and Ukrainian responsibility, and suggested Germany should seek compensation from Poland and Ukraine. Hanning has also previously smeared Latvia. He joined the supervisory council of Norvik Banka, later PNB Banka, which subsequently collapsed. Its insolvency administrator later brought a €32 million damages claim against former board and supervisory council members, including Hanning. During the process, Hanning publicly made sweeping allegations of corruption about Latvian officials and institutions. In later arbitration proceedings, an international tribunal said he made unsubstantiated claims. He has today been arrested on suspicion of espionage, attempted treason and obtaining state secrets.

The WORST Ukraine War predictions by anti-Western so-called “experts” that have aged terribly. A thread. 🧵 1. Political scientist, John Mearsheimer. Feb. 2022: "I don't think Russia is going to invade." Sep. 2023: "The Ukrainians are doomed to lose." Jan. 2024: "It's ridiculous to think Ukraine can hold the line in 2024." Apr. 2025: "It's unimaginable Ukraine will hang on beyond 2025." Jul. 2026: "The Russians are slowly moving forward."
