BYC CONDEMNED THE KILLING OF THREE STUDENTS IN BALOCHISTAN? But what's the reality? Why UN, EU, PAANK is silent on heinous acts! These so called represent should be answerable to the locals of Baloch. Defending BLA HELLDOGS is an open crime. @BalochYakjehtiC
𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝗴𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝗼𝘀𝗵𝗸𝗶 𝗜𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲'𝘀 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗪𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗵 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Yesterday, on 27 October, gunmen walked into Girls Degree College Noshki and shot schoolgirls. Three Baloch daughters, seventeen and eighteen years old, are now carrying bullet wounds because they went to class. On the same day, armed men forced Vision Public School in Qadir Abad to shut its doors. The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) condemns both attacks in the strongest terms and holds the state fully responsible. Between 11 a.m. and noon, three masked armed men entered the college and went straight to the principal's office, where they broke the furniture and smashed the security cameras. Then they turned on the students. They threatened them, ordered them not to move, and opened fire inside the college. Maryam, 17, a second-year student, was shot. Doctors have removed the bullet and she is being treated in Quetta. Rukhsana, 18, also in her second year, was critically wounded in the spine and abdomen. She has been operated on, but one bullet is still inside her body and she remains under treatment in Quetta. Mehmoona, 17, was shot in the leg. She is out of danger and has been sent home. Shortly before this attack, armed men had entered Vision Public School in Qadir Abad, harassed the children, shut the school down, and warned the administration that it would pay if the school opened again. This did not start today. Earlier this year, Professor Ghamkhawr Hayat was shot dead only a few meters from the same college. Now the guns have come inside the college itself. A teacher killed outside its walls, a school closed by threats, schoolgirls shot inside their college. Nobody in Balochistan believes this is random. Serious questions arise here. Why did the principal lock her office and leave the college ten to fifteen minutes before the gunmen arrived? How did men on motorcycles, with a car waiting outside for them, escape so easily in broad daylight? And how is it that an FC checkpoint stands near the college in the name of security, yet the attackers left by that same road and nobody stopped them? Who exactly was that checkpoint protecting? The answer is plain and clear: these are the state's death squads, armed men raised and sheltered by the state to do the work it does not want to do in uniform. They come and go through checkpoints that stop every ordinary Baloch for questioning. That is not a security failure. That is permission. The state fears an educated Baloch woman more than anything else. She reads, she asks questions, she speaks at gatherings and she leads marches. That is why the bullets were aimed at a girls' college. They want our daughters back inside four walls, silent and afraid, and they want parents to decide that sending a girl to school is not worth the risk. These attacks violate Article 9 of the Constitution of Pakistan, which protects every person's right to life, and Article 25-A, which makes free education the right of every child. They also break Pakistan's obligations under the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women, which bind the state to protect the right to education and the equal right of girls and women to it. The same state whose constitutional duty is to protect these girls is letting armed men walk past its own checkpoint. BYC rejects the fear they are trying to plant in every Baloch home, and we will not accept another inquiry that ends in a sealed file and nothing else. BYC demands that Vision Public School be reopened at once with real guarantees for its staff and children, and that the state publicly explain how armed men passed an FC checkpoint without being stopped.
