The cog lugs molded on the other side are the challenge, not sure if they can be procured

I remember seeing a trick you can do with a slip knot to get a loop of rope over a bar, I wonder if that can be done with a belt!

A poxy clamp type joiner

That would be ideal other than getting it on & off!

I think theres a lot to like about belts, quiet, no stretch, absorb shock loads. Just need a decent joining system and not to be $11k a set

Strength is good, the rest of the belt is still good, just flexes at the edge of the steel joiner clamp which is a bugger

Possibly, but the join lug is spliced into the end of the belt

Yep both within an hour of each other. Looks like the bolts came out on one end then it ripped the slat out at the other end. Im finding all the bolts need torquing, another challenge with belts being that you can't just rattle them up hard like you do with chains

I just can't believe that after all these centuries using flat belts, the joiners are still total shit. Whehter that be splices on conveyors or these poxy clamps

I love the belts to use, but like everything new these days, its great when it works but you just chuck it out if anything goes wrong

It uses a clamp style joiner, visible near the slat at the bottom there
