No one on rw twitter *actually* thinks that modern life / having office job is the same as being in prison, or worse than. It’s like that scene in The Office where Michael takes his employees who say that seriously and has to play Prison Mike to prove them wrong. You’re not supposed to take it too literally when ppl say such things. That might be Mr Star’s problem here idk

Yeah it's a fundamentally different goal and it's very challenging. Needing to keep everyone fed, accommodate preferences, not repeat too often, not waste expensive ingredients, manage the timeline of when things are likely to spoil, substitute with things on sale etc.
The whole “women can’t actually cook” line comes from the fact that being in charge of dinner every night and not wanting to stress about it means you inevitably end up making the same 7-10 meals on rotation with slight variations

One of the biggest French newspaper, Le Monde, said that the shooter had leaflets from the Rassemblement Nationales Party yesterday. It has now retracted this statement since it was false. The shooter, found positive to coke and hash, has also said it wasn't a racist attack.
An update on the situation about what Macron falsely called "the first racist shooting" in France: reports made by journals said that only 2/4 victims were actually nonwhite; the shooter's detention has been cancelled due to the results of the psychiatric expertise.

“In Brazil, murder was actually higher under Bolsonaro than under Lula” is a misleading statement. Violent crime in Brazil fell during Bolsonaro’s presidency, and that downward trend continued under Lula. Come to Rio speak to any local and ask them when crime was worst. They’ll tell you it was around 2015-2018. Even the average inhabitant of Rio’s south zone, a Lula stronghold, will admit crime started going down after 2018 (*coincidentally* the year Bolsonaro was elected)
If you're going to overthrow democracy, you need to at least be competent. Bukele took a country that was a war zone and brought the greatest collapse in crime in recent history. In Brazil, murder was actually higher under Bolsonaro than under Lula. Growth under Lula has been higher than it was under Bolsonaro, even if you exclude Covid. Brazilian rightists don't seem to have a good reason for wanting to install authoritarianism under Bolsonaro family rule. They can't argue that Lula has led the country to disaster. They just want to win. And that's not good enough.

I’m sure Hanania knows this btw

Hanania has no logical consistency besides being anti-chud. He will claim he cares most about preserving markets, but will celebrate an anti-market socialist winning in Brazil because it owns the chuds. (Lula isn’t even democratic as he promises to restrict speech and imprison his enemies) This is how Hanania gets himself to support El-Sayed over a standard Republican as well. Free enterprise only matters if it can also own the chuds.
In my book Kakistocracy, I note that Brazil locking up Bolsonaro after he attempted a coup put its democracy on a healthier course. Compare to America, where the prosecution took too long. Brazil dodged a bullet tonight. You can be right-wing! Stop trying to be authoritarians.

I know what I’m going to say to Lana when I meet her
Lana Del Rey gives $100 to woman trying to escape an abusive relationship while “rubberband” by Tate McRae plays in the background.

Why is this such a difficult thing for women? Nearly, every woman I know (except Mom, who still has a rigid schedule for each night) struggles to think dinner. Not actually MAKE dinner, but think of what to make and this is an incredibly stressful thing for them.

More varied than that means the list of groceries every week is endless, which is not only expensive but also time intensive. Have potatoes, rice, pasta, different types of meat, fish and vegetables on rotation, spares the stress, but you will not be spared the “mom slop” accusations. That’s ok

The happy medium: prepare the mom slop 6 out of 7 days a week and take one day a week to cook something more extravagant / try a new a recipe from a cookbook. Or do that once every two weeks on a Sunday, something like that

Yes they want you to go out and commit terrorism while they watch and enjoy the show. He us correct about that.
Replying to @HaeckelGroyper
He does a poor job at defending himself but I'm sympathetic. This started because he said we shouldn't encourage white kids to commit random acts of violence. His detractors are unserious or uncommitted because they're enjoying their comfy lives and not committing terrorism.

Whatever man Flavio Bolsonaro was a shit candidate anyway
It’s completely over for Brazil. The country will now experience Brazilification and turn into a terrible third world country like Brazil.

Regardless… intentional or not, it’s not right that some polling stations were open for two hours longer than others but I’ve moved on already

It has begun. Unprecedented last minute decision by the supreme electoral court (one justice only) to extend voting hours all over country after they had been closed. Counting of votes paused. Chaos in areas where the polls had already closed Laying groundwork for left/court to protest against the legitimacy of the result
