There are three gates leading to this hell - lust, anger and greed. Every sane man should give these up, for they lead to the degradation of the soul.

What happens when devotees working on farms and cow-protection projects across Europe come together to share their experience? At Goloka Ecofarm in Pontinvrea, Italy, 25 devotees representing agricultural and cow-protection projects from nine countries gathered for the 15th European ISKCON Farm Conference. Organized by ISKCON’s Ministry of Cow Protection and Agriculture, this gathering brought together farmers, community leaders and devotees working to develop sustainable agricultural communities. ISKCON currently has more than 100 farms and goshalas around the world, and gatherings like this help connect the people who are working to make Srila Prabhupada’s vision of sustainable, spiritually centered communities a practical reality.

How can technology help pilgrims experience the spiritual and cultural richness of India without taking away the essence of the pilgrimage? This question was among the key themes discussed when Yudhistir Govinda Das, Trustee and Country Director of Communications for ISKCON India, participated in the ASSOCHAM National Tourism Conclave in New Delhi on September 30 where he shared ISKCON’s perspective on the growing relationship between pilgrimage, tradition and technology. As millions of people visit ISKCON temples around the world, technology can play an important role in helping visitors understand and experience that heritage—through museums, immersive experiences, mobile applications, digital tools and cultural exhibitions—while keeping the spiritual purpose of the visit at the heart of the experience.
