October 25, the day the #WhiteHelmets' founding charter was signed.
Twelve years of pulling hope from the rubble, and I still stand by my people in their darkest hours.

Well done, Syrian diplomacy. The UN’s adoption of the International Day for Women Searching for the Missing is a milestone made possible by Syria’s National Commission for the Missing @SyNAFMP . A recognition of every woman who never stopped searching for truth.

On this day, 13 years ago, Assad regime killed more than 1,500 people in Ghouta , not with bullets or blood, but with sarin gas, silent and invisible. Among the dead were children and women who thought their homes were safe. Justice hasn’t come yet. We won’t stop until it does.

The bravest people on earth rarely make the news. This series is here to change that.
Hosted by the Yale School of Public Health, Humanitarian Heroes is a monthly live program spotlighting extraordinary individuals on the frontlines of today’s crises — the rescuers, the builders, the ones who faced impossible moments and chose to act.
Episode one features Aurora Luminary Ismail Alabdullah @ismailSCD, former senior member of Syria’s White Helmets @SyriaCivilDef, whose teams’ rescue operations are credited with saving over 128,000 lives.

It has now been seven days since the journalist @shellykittleson, had been abducted in Baghdad. All the past years, she stood beside the syrian people and reported the from the ground.
I urge everyone to help in release her immediately without any delay.
Today I remember, with searing clarity, the agony of #Khan_Sheikhoun families suffocated to death by Assad’s toxic gas, civilians collapsing as they tried to save one another. I arrived powerless, unable even to cry out left only with grief and fury for innocent lives stolen.
