#ITECDay2026 was graced by the Chairperson of the National Council, Ministers of the Royal Government, Drangpons of the Supreme Court, Constitutional bodies’ heads, parliamentarians, senior government officers, and alumni of Indian education & training programmes yesterday.
We are grateful to H.E. Lyonpo D.N. Dhungyel, Foreign Minister for his warm words about the role and contributions of education and capacity building cooperation with India, which dates back to 1950s. We also thank Mr Kelly Dorji, film actor, writer and entrepreneur for sharing his school and college education experiences in India.

La célébration de la Journée de la Coopération technique et économique indienne (ITEC), organisée à l’hôtel Radisson Blu de Niamey, a réuni des amis et des partenaires afin de mettre en lumière les liens solides et historiques qui unissent l’Inde et le Niger.
Créé en 1964, le programme ITEC témoigne de l’engagement de l’Inde en faveur de la coopération internationale à travers le renforcement des capacités, le partage des connaissances et le développement des compétences.
En proposant des formations et en partageant l’expertise indienne dans divers secteurs, le programme ITEC contribue à renforcer les compétences des professionnels, à consolider les capacités institutionnelles et à promouvoir le développement durable dans les pays partenaires.
Cette occasion a permis de célébrer les réalisations des anciens bénéficiaires du programme ITEC ainsi que le rôle précieux qu’ils jouent dans leurs domaines respectifs.
Elle a également réaffirmé la volonté commune de l’Inde et du Niger de renforcer leur coopération bilatérale, de promouvoir la compréhension mutuelle et de construire un avenir meilleur fondé sur le partenariat et la collaboration.
