It’s 100% obvious the officiating in the NFL is used to do the following:
1) Keep games close so they’re more interesting. They will purposely only call penalties against the better team keeping the losing team alive. We have more overtime’s than ever. Closer 4th quarters than ever. It’s all by design.
2) Swing betting odds to favor the betting houses. We have never seen so many good teams lose to bad teams before in this sports history. The league is clearly doing this for gambling purposes, and making a lot of money doing so. People typically bet on the better teams to always win. When they rig a game against a good team the betting houses and the NFL make a lot of money.
3) Balancing out the divisions. The NFL does not want undefeated teams, and crappy teams. Fans tune out if their teams have a losing record, especially this early in the season. They want to keep the illusion of playoff hopes alive for every team as long as possible even if that means helping bad teams win games they have no business winning.
4) By aggressively officiating they put more pressure on teams to take more risks they normally wouldn’t take. This increases the odds for turnovers, big plays, and mistakes which give more control back to the officials to decide the outcome of a game. The pressure the officials exert creating longer downs and distances, changing field position, granting phantom first downs to keep drives alive, all change the outcomes of the game.
5) The rules have become so nuanced the officials can literally reverse clear and obvious touchdowns and points scored. It’s to the point where teams have to score twice for even one of the touchdowns to count.

These Refs are an ABSOLUTE joke. How are you letting this happen @NFL?
Hunter Dischler retweeted
Refs should NEVER change the outcome of a game. Replace them with robots at this point. Idc.

People are missing the point.
Complaining about calls isn't a Broncos, or Packers, any particular team thing.
As lifelong fans, we're noticing that what's a penalty on one play isn't on the next etc.
They're ruining the game.
Solutions are needed.
NFL is looking like WWE.

In a world where officials have decided way too many games … I’m not sure I’ve ever seen anything like this.
This is an all-timer. @NFL
This is absolutely absurd, man.
This is like the Clay Matthews bullshit call against the #Vikings back in the day.
Absolute horseshit officiating all day.
