Oh baby, look at that new badge 😍
Thank you! @kick @KICKEthan @StakeEddie
I've not been able to stream for like a week due to illness but we're coming back soon, got a message from a few friends to tell me to check my profile. Pretty damn cool!
We bleed green, through the ups, through the downs. 💚
Great stuff.
Gotta give credit where credit is due.
Still a lot of work ahead of us, but I'm happy to see good progress.
Lets keep the momentum going.
💚
We've been listening to the feedback that is going around on socials, and what we've heard when Ed and I have been live on KICK Talk - so I wanted to give everyone an update on what we've done about it.
First one was that we weren't featuring enough people and the front page was a little too static and sticky for creators that were featured for extended periods of time. Our feature team has pushed hard on this, working with our account management and partnerships teams, and we've now featured over 3,000 creators over the last two weeks.
Second was around our homegrown and loyal creators. The ones who've been grinding with us for ages but haven't quite hit the metrics to get partnered and monetised. We went through the data (and jumped in a lot of chats) and we're partnering over 100 creators immediately. If that includes you, you'll be getting an email from us over the next 24 hours.
We know it's not a perfect science and data can't drive all decisions so if you feel like you should have been included and have been rocking with us for years? Send your pitch to [email protected] and tell us how and why you meet the criteria we mentioned on KICK Talk. We're talking 2-3 years streaming on KICK and close to achieving partner, but if you're not quite there we may be able to help with that final push. OGs deserve to be acknowledged by the platforms they helped build.
Speaking of creators who've been with us through the whole journey, we're currently designing an OG Streamer Badge that will be rolled out to our most consistent and loyal streamers who've been here since near the start of KICK. We haven't locked in a name yet, so we want your help. Drop your best name ideas below.
Please keep the feedback coming. It helps us improve and shapes what we work on next, so keep it honest and keep it coming.
Picture this -
You're new to Minecraft and 47.5hours into your 48hour Hardcore @Minecraft Challenge and you're having your best run and finally got to the nether on your own.
Only to then see a message from someone in the community thinking they're trying to help you by screaming at you to put a bed down.
One of the most heart breaking experiences in my 29 years of existence.
I will never forget this @SoFarFromFirst_ 😂
Long Read 🚨
Is @ARCRaidersGame Saved? Here are my thoughts below -
I don't know if I agree with this one just yet, but this update is a massive step in the right direction. Give it another 6 months and I think we might be in a really good spot.
I'm enjoying the update and there's still plenty I haven't experienced. But my biggest issue with the game has never been the lack of content, it's the lacklustre existing systems and lack of endgame.
Before the update:
The gameplay loop was pretty simple. Log in → max your benches → reach max level → complete expedition → mess around → log off.
Once you're maxed out, there's very little reason to keep playing outside of PvP or messing around with friends.
Space Dollars: Almost useless outside of stash upgrades and daily trader purchases.
Trials: Great early game, but quickly become tedious and unrewarding.
Quests: Little incentive to complete them.
Expedition: Currently vaulted, removing a huge part of progression.
Solo vs Trios: Pointless mode that divides the playerbase and barely anyone plays.
After the update:
There's definitely more to do now, and some of these changes are fantastic.
Space Dollars: More useful with additional stash upgrades and trader purchases.
Trials: Still desperately need an overhaul.
Quests: Much more rewarding with the XP changes, but mainly for players who aren't max level. I'd love to see something like additional stash space or another safe pocket as a reward for completing quests.
Frigate & Emperor: Fantastic gear sinks for wealthy players, with great rewards and some fun PvP.
Outpost: 100+ new blueprints is great for completionists and gives people something to chase.
Research Bench: Being able to research specific blueprints is a cool addition and another progression system.
Skill Tree: Great rework that keeps things fresh.
Expedition: Currently vaulted while being reworked. That's a huge chunk of my personal progression gone for now, but I'm sure they're cooking.
Reward Pass: Massive improvement over the Raider Deck. Good mission variety, but I'd love it to be endless. Once completed, let us keep doing missions for mystery caches with random rewards.
Weapon Amplification & Legendaries: Fantastic additions. Finding an amplified weapon on another raider will finally bring back that missing "WOW" factor. The new legendaries and 5k Outpost blueprints also make looting feel more exciting.
Dynamic Loot Zones: Possibly the BEST change in this update. This NEEDS to be on every map, not just Pandola Pass. It makes every raid feel different, spreads players across the map and stops everyone rushing the same hotspot for a team deathmatch.
Cheating: Appears to be massively improved, I've not come across any in 7 hours of playtime yesterday. I dabbled the day before and died to one and got my gear back the next day, which is fantastic news.
Overall:
This update brings some much-needed QoL improvements, more depth and more reasons to play, especially if you're not already maxed out.
But I still think there's work to be done when it comes to long-term progression and player retention. Even more so for those that are already maxed out and not doing expeditions.
One more big update like this and I genuinely think we'll have a great long-term game on our hands.
It's just a much harder problem to solve in an extraction game that doesn't force wipes and doesn't have a proper player-driven economy.
We're getting there, just not quite there yet.
With all the above, should you come back to Arc Raiders?
I think so.
I'm having a blast myself, I would definitely give the update a try and form your own opinion. If you have never played Arc Raiders before, its Free To Play until the 12th of October and from my personal experience, the first few months of the game were absolutely magical and no game has been able to replicate that feeling in a very long time.
This is what gambling deals do to these big streamers.
Sad to see only god awful clips of Tim lately, hes been a legend of the streaming space for many many years.
All he cares about is the bag now, all his friends are playing the game but because Arc isn't paying him hes not playing?
Stubborn and silly.
I quit playing @ARCRaidersGame around march.
Came back at the end of April for the riven tides update, played for a few days.
Enjoyed the new map, did my expedition and same old so I logged off.
First time playing again today after not playing for 4 months, had an absolute blast.
Because I left the game during riven tides with the expedition setup, I start today with lvl 1, empty stash, nothing to my name.
Perfect setup for the Frozen Trails update releasing in less than 10 hours.
Super excited for all the changes coming to the game, I'm hoping @EmbarkStudios COOKED.
Feels like early christmas.
As frustrating as the live aspect of the game has been for someone that plays the game a lot, the first few months of the games release were magical. So many amazing memories and I'm looking to replicate that with tomorrows update.
LETS GO!
Completed Minecraft Dungeons 2.
- Got max level
- Max level gear
- Made a build that one shots all content
- Finished all Main story & side quests
- Found the arguably rarest unique in the game.
- Found all talismans & secret boss.
Here's my take from someone that loved Dungeons 1 when it released and was really excited for Dungeons 2 -
Honestly?
It's a fun one time playthrough. (For Now)
I would not recommend even going past the main story as the game in its current state has practically no content outside of the quests and finding hidden talismans and secret boss, the entire endgame is just an extra world event that spawns and you kill some monsters and break the objective and you have a chance to get gear with 3 affixes rather than 2.
I don't want to say I'm disappointed because I enjoyed my playthrough, however it is very clear the game needs some QoL love and the base game is going to be built around upcoming DLCs. Which is a shame because they could've used so much from Dungeons 1 and make the game a lot more than it is on release.
The game doesn't favour replayability in the end-game for various reasons such as lack of storage chest, caps on echo shards & enchantements. I ended up bricking my entire build because I wanted to try a ranged build and I didn't get lucky enough to get what I wanted and the build I had in mind is nowhere near where I want it to be.
You have to constantly go back to town to make sure you're using your materials so they don't go to "waste"
You can't have multiple builds because you just don't have the resources for it, enchantement wise anyway. You could technically roll an entire new set and just swap enchantments.
All in all, I enjoyed the story and I really enjoyed the open world aspect of the game and the jump puzzles and finding hidden chests and the open world in general is well made and its fun.
With that being said, the game needs -
- More content & activities to do in the end game.
- Actual challenges & higher difficulty as the base game even on hard difficulty once you have a build put together is far too easy, all bosses still get 1 to 3 shot at best.
- Lots of QoL such as removal of the caps, adding storage, perhaps even loadouts.
Playing @dungeonsgame 2 just made me want to revisit Dungeons 1 even more, the game has far far more content, replayability, difficulty settings and zones to explore. You can get a key with 6 content DLC's for like $6.
Looking forward to future development.
