Replying to @KamalaHarris
@KamalaHarris castigates @VivekGRamaswamy for his vile ad against @amyactonoh:
"I decided I wanted to do the work that was about protecting those who are vulnerable and voiceless. In my career as a courtroom prosecutor, I specialized in child sexual assault cases and crimes against women and children.
So I was so — I can't even describe the myriad of emotions — to see what this person has done in terms of that political ad against Amy Acton. It is abhorrent. It is vile. It is cruel. It is callous. The source of it is also ignorance.
You want to run for one of the highest political offices in the country and you're so ignorant that you don't understand the pain, the trauma, associated with the subject that you are now airing as part of a political ad? That gets back to point A, the brutality."

“What do you need from us as black women?”
@KamalaHarris: “I need us to stay active. The next go-round will be the midterms, and there is so much at stake. We have got to be active, especially now that the Supreme Court has gutted the Voting Rights Act. There are so many obstacles being put in the way intentionally of people’s access to the polls and their right to vote as citizens, and we have to remind folks that it may be very difficult, but it is absolutely worth it.”

We failed our University and fans today. This one hurts like hell and we deserve to be critiqued and questioned. That wasn’t the standard at all! Our coaches and players take accountability for the loss. All we ask is that when it comes to our players, KEEP IT RESPECTFUL!
We’re 6-2 and this team ain’t ducking no smoke! We know we’re going to get EVERY team’s absolute best shot. Maturity, personal accountability, and the removal of EGOS will help us manage our emotions so that we can maintain the edge needed to withstand the tests we are facing! Read that again, team.
On to the next with a sense of urgency! We are 1 JSU. #GuardTheeYard

Jesse Legree just announced he is staying at Oregon State through 2027.
The two men who run that program looked at him once before and passed.
JaMarcus Shephard and Eron Hodges were both on Alabama's staff in the fall of 2025. Legree was a 160 pound defensive back at Loyola Blakefield in Baltimore who had moved to receiver for his senior year, and moving cost him. Coaches saw an undersized defensive back. The programs with room at receiver had already filled it.
Pittsburgh looked. Temple thought about him at cornerback. A few FCS schools circled.
His high school coach at St. Frances Academy called the silence debilitating, and kept the Oregon State conversations quiet so the kid would not get his hopes up over nothing.
Then Shephard got the Oregon State job on the 28th of November in 2025. Hodges told him to go watch Legree immediately.
He became the first player they went after.
The scholarship offer came by text, late on Signing Day, while Legree was sitting in a film room.
Here is what he has said about the place he said yes to.
"I barely knew Oregon was a state."
On the sixth play of his first college game he caught one and ran 71 yards with it. The next week he put 240 yards and two touchdowns on Texas Tech.
He has been the Pac-12 freshman of the week seven straight times. He leads the entire country in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns, as a true freshman, at 5 foot 10.
Chad Johnson offered $2 million of his own money to help the Beavers keep him.
He told ESPN's Pete Thamel.
Now the part that complicates it. He has played six games. Plenty of freshmen have had a season like this and never had another one, and nothing about today promises anybody a 2028. Eron Hodges said out loud a few weeks ago that keeping him was going to be hard.
Today it was not.
And there is one more thing, which is the part that stays with me.
Basketball was his first sport. He only picked up football to stay in shape for it, and he stopped growing at 5 foot 10. His older brother Josiah plays point guard at UTSA.
His dad Jeffrey coaches junior varsity girls basketball. He also works with the football program at St. Frances on mental health and player development.
So when Jesse Legree gets asked what he wants to do once the football is finished, he does not say coach, and he does not say television.
He says he wants to be a therapist. He says he wants to help people.
The kid nobody would take at receiver is now the best one in the country. And what he says he wants when it is over is to sit in a room and listen.
They make MILLIONS to coach! Are we supposed to feel sorry for them because they have to do some work! Please!
Nick Saban to @PatMcAfeeShow: "I talked to a college coach this week who has a bye week next week, and all he's doing is meeting with agents. It's the middle of the season! Guys are worried about how much playing time am I getting, what I'm going to do if I don't get enough playing time. I'm playing well, so how much money am I going to make next year there or someplace else?"
"The reason we're seeing a lot of these inconsistencies in performance is people are struggling to sustain their intensity week in and week out. Maybe it's people are more conditionally committed to their team because the circumstances we're putting these players in. ... If you can't sustain intensity, you can't sustain the level of performance you want to sustain, you can't play smart, you can't play with intelligence. It all starts with your mental energy, and that starts with your commitment to your team and to your development as a player."

Proud of him. Jesse didn't have a real "Signing Day" experience. Everything happened so fast. It's exciting to see him have this moment at his high school.
The last signing day, he watched his friends. He created his own moment.
And yet he will STILL be hired by another law enforcement agency!
