EAR INFECTION UPDATE: I have a nasty fungal ear infection which was indeed very likely caused by my BTE hearing aid. I am indeed in the process of seeing about a second implant which means an upcoming surgery

I definitely have a v painful ear infection and I'm pretty sure its because of my BTE hearing aid This means I might be looking at a 2nd implant The reason they didn't give me BTE hearing aids as a kid is they were worried about infections ear surgery #29 or #30 incoming 🫩

thoughts on thronetwt ahead 💭 reminder a lot of us here are disabled women and i don't think it takes an academic paper to justify the idea that disabled women often factually ARE left out, ignored and looked over, so its very easy to assume such a thing is happening or will happen because it already has. So if you see someone sad on the TL because they feel left out of donations, especially when lots of people have been getting donations, getting put on lists and receiving lots of personalized boosts when they have not, it might be a bit helpful to not automatically assume this sad person is trying to guilt trip you, be manipulative, feels entitled to your money or is ungrateful. Maybe they just genuinely feel left out and wanna join in the fun. And the fun includes the free stuff like the kind boosts and silly conversations. And some of us are nervous about joining in the free stuff because we don't want be seen as faking friendship for money. Please just give a bit of grace. We aren't trying to be difficult.

Its okay to feel a little sad if you see other people get funded and added to lists and you're missing. It doesn't make you ungrateful for what you have received, manipulative or entitled. It also doesn't mean the feeling won't pass. it means you're a person with feelings?
