I bridged $SOL from Solana into a shielded coin on Midnight mainnet today, then brought some back. All of it is on-chain:
• Signed one message with a Solana key, which deterministically derived a Midnight wallet. Nothing installed.
• Sent SOL to a vault on Solana with a memo naming that shielded Midnight address → solscan.io/tx/5ZBbzEGg3EUWLp…
• The relayer minted bridged SOL on Midnight → midnight.subscan.io/tx/004ad…
• …and wrapped it straight into a shielded coin for those keys → midnight.subscan.io/tx/00f52…

Stayed 1:1 backed throughout: what the vault held equaled what was in circulation on Midnight.
This was a proof of concept — custodial v1, lock-and-mint with a single relayer, the same trust model as every bridge live on Midnight today. Not open to the public.
