Smaller potatoes but exact same thing happened for the Tkachuk return game at the bar in the Bell Sensplex. Couldn’t get the game in the Sens’ own rink. Wild.
Met some of the beer league teammates at the Wild Wing at the rink here in Toronto.
World Series on. Monday Night Football on. Bar can’t get Leafs-Flames.
Six pad arena that has easier access to out-of-market pro football and pro baseball than the local pro hockey team. Tables keep asking for it, bartenders keep scrolling through their huge cable package. No dice. The NHL should view this as a big problem for the sport.
Good. This is good.
Meanwhile off the ice, Linus Ullmark is on the trip with the team but did not skate today at practice.

Nothing wrong with point night for the big boys.
8-4-0 in the first 1/7 of the season.

Yak just has the one goal but I’ve been so impressed with him every game.
His defensive positioning is night and day from last season. Making smart plays with the puck in his own end. Credit to him and the coaching staff.
I grin ear to ear every time I see Ridly Greig piss off the other team. He’s been incredible to start the year.
