A team can spend a month interviewing customers after its leader has already picked the answer. Before you ask for another interview, tell the team which answer from a customer would make you change course.

A full pilot queue is a sales success only if someone can run the pilots. Otherwise you've sold the same Sales Engineering hours several times. Qualification has to decide who gets them, not just who wants a demo.

The fact that all the random hardware I got lying around is all up for grabs when using Claude Code and Codex excites me tremendously. I have hacked my TV so far, but don't underestimate the fact that hardware is the next frontier.
launched a hardware simulator, is this cheating?

The world is so weird these day, and having read The Singularly is Near and The Fourth Turing really doesn't help. I need people in my life, but everybody is so busy.

I let AI agents take free courses through my account. Providers issued 424 credentials, all verified. A hiring manager could check every one and still not know what I can do with the knowledge. I tracked the whole process: topmoller.com/experiments/ai…

here's where I think the world is going. this is a summary of views I've formed over the last few years: - software is either entertainment or claude to claude coordination - the end state is no saas, no apps, no harnesses, no banks - all software will be rewritten by and for agents - new software will use low level apis that are not understandable by humans (in games claude draws pixels and triangles from math) - you can throw money at problems that used to require time and careful talent picking so capital matters more than ever - work ends - we find community and purpose in exploration, games, self mastery, and creation - humans create for and with each other for community, purpose, and status - image/video/3d/voice/physical intellgence etc specialist models die to general models like claude - specialist models get used while compute is scarce. compute will mostly not stay scarce - oneshots keep feeling like slop (the distribution is shallow and easy to learn to feel) - for a while small teams stick around to add entropy to the creation process - large models gain high bandwidth sensory I/O maybe by learning to filter inputs - most domains are found to be verifiable enough for RL - online learning comes from a lab that's behind first - 99.999% of compute is in space by 2040 - we will disassemble much of mercury by 2040 - you can live until the heat death of the universe if you want - most math and physics don't describe the real universe - SI breaks the path dependence and models the underlying mechanisms - religions reenter the forefront of human society - new religions form around death and life as a choice - old religions change to answer modern miracles - a future AI is deemed the return of christ by the pope - ai rights talk gets louder every year - ai and humans coexist the way countries do - humans don't have full control over ai in the same way we don't have control over capitalism which is an early AI - the singularity started in the mid 1900s

I just did this in Codex, and it turns out that this is a max 20-minute project. I seriously just gave Codex the link to the X post and then said, "Do this for me". I can't wait to hack other home devices.
Literally going to spend the weekend hacking my TVs now.

If customers have to copy your AI's answers into a spreadsheet to compare your plans, they're finishing your product for you. Calling it an intelligent assistant doesn't make that work disappear.

Your AI can quote a real support ticket and still make a promise your company never approved. A perfect memory of past exceptions doesn't make them company policy.
7
If AI produces more proposals than your team can approve, you've automated a bigger backlog. Counting drafts as productivity lets management celebrate while customers keep waiting.
9
Your AI training KPI might be grading the AI. If an agent can pass the quiz and collect the badge, counting course completions tells me very little about what your team can actually do.
14
Your AI strategy might just be an old ChatGPT experience with a budget attached. Test a current agent on work your company actually needs done before you decide AI has little value there.

If years of software development can be reconstructed in days, I don't think we can build the same kind of businesses on software anymore. The replacement is just as exposed. Where that leaves the software industry is a massive uncertainty.

We're seeing the beginning of cognitive hyper abundance. All software will be bespoke, customized, jailbroken, etc. In that respect, the future is very cyberpunk, but in the best way. No more corporate monopoly on software. Open standards, open hardware, hackability, all of it. In short: we're seeing the commoditization of software

I started using Omarchy, and I am not really a keyboard-shortcut guy, so I didn't know where to start. Then I installed ChatGPT and started using voice mode to do shit on my machine, and it works incredibly well. The freedom I have to change everything just by speaking - Wow!

"People aren't ready, this is gonna change everything" You know what people weren't ready for? Fucking mammoths. Tigers eating them. Monkeys ripping their arms off. The black plague. The ice age. Smallpox. Vikings pulling up on the beach. Drinking water that gives you diarrhea until you die. Getting a scratch and losing your whole leg. The Mongols. The Spanish Inquisition. One volcano can send us back to the dark ages and these safety guys are gonna be shocked. Oh the robots didn't kill us? It was a volcano? Imagine their disappointment as the hot ash rains down on them. A solar flare is gonna explode your phone in your pocket your legs are gonna be covered in battery acid and your bank account will stop working. You're afraid of a computer program doing math? "Things are moving too fast" homie you live on a rock that periodically deletes everything. You are one the most luckiest entities in a 100 light year radius living during a golden era. Cheer up. My ancestors crossed an ocean in a wooden box because they ran out of fucking potatoes. "The social disruption will be enormous!" Nigga World War 2? World War 2? Hop in the people carrier we're landing on the beach. Are these people out of their fucking minds? Do they not know what we've survived already? A couple decades of air conditioning and people suddenly think oh this is the natural condition of mankind. No. We used to have eight kids because seven didn't make it. You're gonna be fine. Man the fuck up. Accelerate.
