I don't know if other #Edfringe review sites are experiencing this, but the emails from some PRs are getting ridiculous. One has sent The Recs thirty-two emails about their roster (yes, 32!) - and today, they started messaging our Instagram page. You can appreciate the enthusiasm for clients to some extent, but this level of constant bombardment of sites is not a good look. We'd love to reply to everyone who emails us during Fringe, but if we did, no actual reviews would get published. Here's a reminder of advice we've given before: One follow-up email is the maximum Please, Don't pitch on social media, only email - it doesn't have the necessary info, and editors like to have all the information about shows in one place Pitch your show as early as you can - shows pitched in June will have a much better chance compared to shows pitched in August, when pretty much our schedule is full

This is our reaction to @TheStage report that Underbelly is to introduce dynamic pricing to the Edinburgh Fringe. Let's hear your opinion...

The disparity between the big #Edfringe venues dealing with press requests is marked. Pleasance a brilliant update email, EIF processed a batch within two days… And yet one key venue missed its own stated deadline of last week, hasn’t sent any updates (as far as we can tell) and isn’t responding to emails looking for any hint of whether tickets have been granted or not. Trying to cover as many @edfringe shows as possible requires planning and communication from press offices - perhaps there are more requests than expected, perhaps they are understaffed, perhaps something has gone wrong… just let us know!
