The Rees Foundation: understand the importance of having a lifelong support network. Their aim is to help care leavers thrive. They offer help and advice to care leavers. Their projects are available to anyone over 16 who has been in foster care or residential care during their childhoods.

Since it's Remembrance Sunday I am reposting this. On page nine I have an article about those who grew up in the care system who fought in past wars. Many, perhaps especially those from the old institutions, will have had no family to mourn or miss them when they did not return.
