Metro Redux is getting a free next-gen update this month.
The update is not a remake or remaster. Deep Silver says it keeps the original experience and focuses on improving it for modern hardware.

- Better lighting, shadows, and particle effects
- Improved animations and audio
- PSSR on PS5 Pro
- DLSS on PC
- DualSense adaptive triggers

- Xbox Handheld and Xbox Play Anywhere support
The update arrives October 22 on PC and October 29 on consoles, free for existing owners of Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux.
