We exist to strengthen Northeast Pennsylvania by offering homeowners a fair, stress-free way to sell their properties and by transforming those houses into high-quality homes for families to thrive. We believe that better housing is a foundation for stronger communities—raising property values, boosting the local economy, and keeping our young talent right here in NEPA. Our purpose goes beyond profit: every renovation increases neighborhood appeal, expands tax resources for schools and infrastructure, and helps create a place where everyone can build a brighter future. By investing in the region we love, we’re committed to making Northeast Pennsylvania the best it can be.
Communism is stupid. Marx was an idiot.
Putting production under government control doesn't remove self-interest. It can redirect effort toward pleasing administrators instead of serving customers.
The knowledge needed to run an economy is scattered among people on the ground, and it changes faster than a central office can collect and act on it.
Ownership isn't the whole job. Someone has to coordinate people, understand the work, maintain equipment, find customers, manage cash, and make hard decisions. Changing ownership doesn't create those skills.
An economy needs many people trying different approaches. Local mistakes can be corrected, and successful methods can spread. One compulsory plan can spread the same mistake everywhere.
Workers don't have to remain only wage earners. They can also acquire shares, retirement investments, or businesses and participate in profits without abolishing markets.
Today's giant can lose its position when new technology or a better business model changes the market. Concentration today doesn't prove permanent control tomorrow.

If you know anything about real estate it was pretty obvious $OPEN was going to lose a lot of money.
I do think this model can be done right but you should be probably be real estate first as a real estate company and tech second. @nejatian
@MartinShkreli great timing on the shorts. I got blown up by the meme stock. And then I was afraid
We should be able to get a real estate transaction to close in 1 day. Elon is over here defying physics lol.
In 1981, mortgage rates hit 18.63% and homes still sold. About half of all resales skipped the bank. Here's how sellers became the bank.

At least 30 data center proposals are on the table across Northeast PA. Here’s where they actually stand, and what they could mean for your electric bill and your house.
Home values: the National Association of Realtors found no single data center effect. It depends on the house: how close it is, whether you can see or hear it, generator testing, truck traffic, lighting and the buffer.
The electric bill part is already here. PJM’s capacity auction hit its price cap three times in a row, and PJM’s own market monitor calls data center demand the primary reason. PPL’s price to compare went from 10.8 to 13.1 cents a kWh since spring 2025.
Not everything gets through. Clinton Twp in Wayne County unanimously rejected a 20-building plan on Sept. 9. Jessup, Dickson City, Olyphant and Throop have all been through zoning fights.
Luzerne County: Amazon’s first building is running in Salem Twp, next to the nuclear plant. A second campus is approved and a third, 39 buildings, is under review. Newport Twp issued zoning permits for 15 buildings in August
Archbald: Project Gravity (7 buildings) is still waiting on final land development approval. Wildcat Ridge (14 buildings, about 500 acres) had its last hearing Sept. 9, and the borough’s decision is due this fall. An 18-building campus was denied in March.
Edwin Martin. The largest tower in Bethlehem stood in his honor. (Imploded in 2019)
He’s remarked as a respected historical figure of the community. Yet, he’s the one that decided to invest in a luxury tower instead of modernizing the steel furnaces with oxygen systems. The tower no longer stands.
This ultimately led to the downfall of Bethlehem Steel and their bankruptcy.
If Bethlehem steel invested in oxygen systems instead of flying private jets and building luxury buildings they’d still be at the height of the steel trade and Bethlehem Pennsylvania would be a top 15 city.
Just bought a house in South Side, Scranton. All cash. My grandmother grew up on these streets. Now we get to restore them.

The older generation most certainly did not “pay into” Social Security anywhere close to the amount they are withdrawing.
This program is one giant wealth transfer from poor young Americans to rich old ones.
