truly insane that this is a totally reasonable question for delivery of a digital good in 2026
Hey @StubHub @TeamStubHub i am flying around the world next week to watch a football game with tickets from your app. When should i expect to receive these tickets?
#PaysToWait movement used to be a story about efficient markets - prices fall as the event gets closer, more fans get in
its turned into a story about broken ones.
fans should wait because buying early means risking a cancelled order and rebuilding plans around tickets that never show up.
I implore anyone to not buy anything from @StubHub! They do not deliver tickets you purchase, and have zero customer support. I bought tickets months ago for a @ChicagoBears game and 6 days before the game I get an email saying my tickets are unable to be delivered! Scammers!!!!!
fans shouldn’t be punished for planning ahead
system is broken
Hey @StubHub, I see plenty of tickets. It’s my fault prices went up? I bought these in July. Make this right and get me the two tickets I paid for. The seller just decided two days ago they could get more than I paid in July. #StuhubSucks
another one

crazy idea: a ticket marketplace that requires sellers to deliver tickets when they sell (not 6 months later)
Replying to @StubHub
@StubHub absolutely crushed my daughter last night. Bought tickets in February for @Harr_Styles in NYC. Guaranteed two seats together. As of 5 pm yesterday, no tickets, and said none available, yet plenty of tix on stubhub site, but triple what they paid. @StubHub are criminals.
this is what we’re building toward at @xpticket: instant delivery as a requirement for sellers, not a perk fans are forced to gamble on.
if you sell tickets (fan, broker, team, artist, promoter) and this matters to you, dm me. we want to work with you.
if you’re buying: give us a look or even just a follow. competing with marketplaces with 100x budgets isn’t easy, and a follow helps massively.
@saumil marketplaces can and should be doing more, and we're building this at @xpticket. as a lot of the replies point out, the impact is bigger working together with issuers, and we'd love to do that.
the goal: prompt delivery as a standard, not a feature. sellers list what they can deliver, and we work with transfer policies, not around them with delayed delivery.
no spec tickets, no busted orders months after purchase, after fans like these harry styles fans already booked travel and hotels.
open to a conversation? 🤞

On this day in 2011: Tesla told shareholders it expected $195 million to $200 million in revenue for the entire year.
Model S hadn't shipped a single car yet. The Fremont factory was about 90% tooled up, and first deliveries were promised for no later than July 2012.
Today Tesla brings in that much in about 16 hours. Q3 2026 revenue: $28.05 billion.
want to love the @NYRangers hometown remix jerseys but something feels off
is it just that the 2010 heritage jersey was already the perfect version of this?

The get-in price for Harry Styles at MSG tonight has surged to an incredible $1,700 in the final hours before showtime.
That puts it among the most expensive last-minute tickets to a concert at MSG ever.

world cup, brewers world series, and now harryween.
same chart every time. prices pump the last week before the event, while the tickets that fans bought months ago haven’t been sent yet.
for sellers, if you sold at $480 in June and that seat is now worth $963, the math says bust the order, eat the penalty, and resell it at today’s price.
already starting to see the “we couldn’t find replacements, here’s your refund” emails for fans that booked hotel and flights. now they're forced to go back to the market and pay nearly 2x, pushing prices even higher.
the climb isn’t just from last minute buyers, it’s fans who bought 6 months ago getting forced back in.
a short squeeze, except the one getting squeezed is the fan
hot take: your favorite artist’s tour is worse than FIFA
same playbook, just hidden
FIFA’s the villain for plenty of reasons, but on tickets at least they said it out loud
Exclusive: FIFA made $5 billion from tickets & hospitality at 2026 World Cup - over five times more than at previous World Cup thanks in large part to controversial dynamic pricing.
