We have 2 years left to build out the financial infrastructure that serves humanity, instead of getting a dystopian infrastructure served by humanity Arguably building that already gets harder after the midterms, which is why we are seeing tremendous push now If social/communist policies enacted by European, Canadian and Australian blocks are any indication, and if Democrat policy under Biden towards crypto was any indication, the globalists want total control over your information, freedom of speech, money and property If we assume the Democrats will win the midterms and the Presidential election, which is increasingly likely, expect significant amounts of money to move towards that what is most antifragile and best equipped to defend the self sovereign individual A revolution/resistance can’t happen and get funded on a traceable blokchain It is no coincidence that the European Union will ban anonimity enhancing coins by July 2027. It is also no coincidence that last year the infrastructure came online that allows us to have liquid on chain markets that create access to such assets, mostly permissionless, with the caveat that it does have an AML shield, which is good. The same people who got involved in Bitcoin during the 2012/2013 pump are hyper aware of this, pushing the envelope Now one of said assets crucial to, and supported by, this movement is outpacing the logarithmic appreciation of the 2012/2013 bitcoin market cap, at a 2014-2017 valuation Think about what that means, it’s actually insane Then just become a bit dumber and believe 20-25% ratio over the next 12 months

‼️ BREAKING: Revolut handed over customers’ passport copies, verification selfies and full transaction histories to a malicious actor. The actor sent lawful government information-demand emails using a genuine government domain that passed domain authentication. Revolut later concluded they were not authentic. Affected customers were notified on Friday. What may have been disclosed ranges from name, date of birth and home address to account statements, withdrawal records and complete Bitcoin transaction history. The company says it has alerted the agency to the unauthorised mailbox on its domain, blocked the address and begun notifying regulators. It has not named the agency, explained how someone obtained a mailbox there, or given a number of affected customers. ZachXBT, who circulated the notices, believes the incident was limited in size and aimed at high-net-worth users.

“Results in reading, mathematics and science were above the national average and comparable to the average results in Germany and Sweden.” These are the results of our pilot program, which includes AI tutors and has been running in 171 public schools for just over a year. It was evaluated by PISA for Schools in June of this year. Since then, it has already expanded to more than 1,000 schools, and within 18 months, it will be in every public school in our country. In a few years, El Salvador will inspire the world. Security was just the beginning 🇸🇻
The highly promising results from El Salvador’s first PISA for Schools assessment show what education reform can achieve when student learning is placed at the center—and change reaches the classroom. What is at stake is more than a score. It is a generation’s future and its prospects in the labor market. These preliminary findings, drawn from a group of schools, point to a path worth pursuing. The World Bank Group is proud to support El Salvador’s efforts to strengthen education and expand opportunities for generations to come. More on the assessment: bit.ly/4x7q1zQ

Welcome the oil deal.

1) Tokenized deposits are not a thing. It is impossible for them to exist in bearer form, which means they must be restricted to existing bank customers, so they can't interoperate without intermediation, which means they are pointless. Case in point: The Clearing House already runs a real-time payment system. Why it needs a fake blockchain to do the same exact thing is beyond me. 2) The banks have a history of exaggeration and dishonesty on crypto. They are lying right now to kill Clarity. I don't understand this obsession with taking every fantastical (yet unlikely) announcement they make on faith. 3) Netting is a benefit to financial intermediaries and a cost to end users. Doing it is good for banks but bad for bank customers. If you get rid of the intermediary, you don't need (or want) the netting. Particularly when you have real blockchains that can move money effectively for free. 4) That's not to say all stablecoin transfers will be P2P or that there won't be a need for stable-specific clearing, but it won't look anything like the bank-based systems of today. If it did, then what the hell was the point?
17 of America's biggest banks just put deposits onchain and skipped stablecoins. The reason is a 50-year-old trick, and stablecoins are about to steal it back

If regulators can secretly debank an entire lawful industry, no business is safe. That’s exactly what nearly happened to crypto, and we exposed the details. The Gensler SEC deleted texts at the height of the anti-crypto campaign, FDIC buried evidence - it was all uncovered after we fought to expose the truth. This win is not only for us, but for every American, and every American company expecting transparency and accountability from the government.
The government tried to secretly kill crypto in America. We sued to expose this, and we won. We'll always fight for financial freedom.

So i DMed @Wise as they requested, and then they asked me to eliminate my post. I’ve also started researching about other people that have been in the same situation as me, where the “bank” refuses to open an account just because an affiliation with Bitcoin. The stories are hundreds. May this be a reminder why the current banking system is failing us. Its all about discrimination. Dont wait until it happens to you to find an alternative.
They just closed my @Wise bank account because I'm into Bitcoin. And now, I am banned from ever opening an account with them. Great. This is why the banking system is rigged. I knew it was a huge red flag opening the account in the first place, they have over 10 countries they didn't let you interract with. SMH, this is why Bitcoin is important.

Some usual suspects who like to pretend things aren't that bad on campus saw the data—showing that roughly 70% of students think professors should be reported for saying "offensive" things—and immediately countered with, "Oh, they're only saying that about when professors sexually harass them!" No, they aren't. The students mean forbidden opinions even if they are, in fact, correct. I featured the NDSU data a while back but thanks to Stu for sharing it more broadly.

Good lord. It turns out that a16z, the same people who told us "Why Decentralized Matters" 8 years ago, now don't think it matters. Sure, they hedge by making a meek "parallel path" argument between actual DeFi and whatever the suits are doing, but the fact that they now take all this "enterprise blockchain" nonsense seriously tells me they've lost faith. Or rather they believe decentralization matters for DePIN that enables DeSci for agentic inference, but not for finance. "Peer to Peer Electronic Cash" breaking up Wall Street is now a bridge too far! Allow me to reframe what is actually happening with TradFi adoption of blockchain: the rent seeking intermediaries for whom friction and delays is a primary source of profits are not into actual crypto (shocking, I know). They prefer fake crypto, because it allows them to hijack the narrative, delay progress, and use lawfare in Washington to kill true innovation. This isn't some conspiracy theory. The very same banks who are lobbying to kill stablecoins as I type are claiming to use fake internal blockchains to offer services they could have rolled out 20 years ago using SQL. Also, the same HFT trading firms who have been lobbying to kill DeFi for years are the biggest holders of dubious coins tied to "permissioned networks" supposedly used by COBOL jockeys to do post trade settlement. Before that, they used fax machines. None of this should come as a surprise. Incumbents fight change. Highly regulated incumbebts who haven't had to innovate for decades fight the hardest. What does come as a surprise is that the smartest VCs out there (and I mean this genuinely) are falling for their slight of hand. No wonder this industry is in such a low place. Our once fearless leaders are full of doubt and bending the knee to archaic orgs like...SWIFT? Like, it took the Society over a decade to try to move cross-border payments that take 3 days to a new messaging standard, but a16z thinks they'll build a viable "blockchain" for real-time payments soon. Sigh. Since they end their article with advice for founders, I am going to do the same: Proof of Authority is not a viable consensus mechanism, inside a bank or on CNBC. Neither is Proof of Press Release. A founder who doesn't think the institutions of tomorrow will be fundamentally different from the dominant ones today proably shouldn't be one.

Chat Control 1 is back. Despite the European Parliament voting down the legislation twice this year, the Council of the European Union and parts of the Parliament today managed – through an urgent procedure – to extend it for another two years. The law was originally introduced as temporary legislation, so that its effectiveness could be evaluated. At the end of 2025, the European Commission itself concluded that it was not possible to determine whether the law had any measurable effect. Even so, it has now been pushed through. Some of today's amendments could have stopped the law. And a majority of the voting MEPs wanted to do so. By a margin of 314-276, the Parliament voted to reject the proposal through these amendments. However, since it was an urgent procedure, 361 votes were required. As a result, the majority lost today and Chat Control 1 was passed. The urgent procedure was a dirty play by the Council and parts of the Parliament – it’s a procedure not meant to be used on legislation already rejected by the Parliament. For now, Chat Control 1 will remain in effect. This means that tech companies may continue scanning communications without a warrant or suspicion. However, the real battle is Chat Control 2. Unlike Chat Control 1, it would require all providers to scan communications, and to do so far more extensively than Chat Control 1 ever has.
