I think this is sea spleenwort Asplenium marinum, growing on the sandstone rock face at castlefield in Manchester city centre. Any fern experts correct me if I’m wrong!

Pure stands of Pinus canariensis are found at higher elevations on Tenerife where their unusually long needles help to trap moisture from fog. Also unusual is the frequent epicormic growth. The forest supports the endemic Tenerife blue chaffinch.

North Lancashire and South Cumbria never disappoint. First time visits to Sandscale Haws NNR & Arnside Knott (see rustyback spleenwort). As well as penny buns for dinner from Grizedale Forest, and a scramble up Humphrey Head 👌🏼

Well, we aren’t obligated. So I won’t. Maybe I’ll do something offensive instead like go cycling, make people aware of Guinea pigs or hold up a blank piece of white paper.
