Think about how much money people pay for useless cable TV service with ads AI is going to become very expensive.

The cost of serving Grok Bot was unsustainably high relative to revenue

Data residency shouldn't mean trade-offs. We're rebuilding our control plane and logging on Workers and Durable Objects, so you can choose where WAF rules, Workers, and logs live with a click, and change it with another. Apply for the beta: cfl.re/4ixrLxi

if you have built with @CloudflareDev before and loved it, have 5+ years of eng experience, would love to help our most forward leaning customers build more on the orange cloud and are in the US we’re hiring

Your Durable Objects no longer get interrupted while handing requests after you deploy a new version Instead, they will be updated when the object next hibernates. By default, they will be allowed 5 minutes to hibernate before a forced update, configurable up to 24 hours!

Best days for a drive are Wednesday & Sunday 🍂 cloudy skies develop Wednesday and rain returns Sunday (after 19 days). With temps in the 50's on top, it will feel AND look like a proper fall scene

there is no better magical pill than realizing that no one is coming to save you and it's all on you. realizing you will have to try hard. realizing you need to use all of your creative and curious efforts to keep going... until you have become someone worthy of winning

My wife and I *require* our kids to read every day (30-60 minutes) ... but it can be be anything they want. And I'll buy them any book they want Reading should be enjoyable, but it's also a discipline you learn.
As with all worthwhile activities, reading is difficult. It takes time. But it’s worth it, writes @LS_Stoneman. Read more: on.wsj.com/3U9elPX

This is one of the only Chimney Rock videos of Hurricane Helene as it happened on Sept. 27, 2024. These people hiked up a mountain to get cell service so they could be rescued. #WNC

Reddit call was absolutely fascinating. Everyone should listen to it as a bellwether for where the internet is going - AI Mode is increasingly default Google experience - AI Mode provides rich info and data in line, less incentive to leave search - AI Mose incentivizes dialog, Google wants to keep you engaged to serve more ads at each turn - Google will milk search for as much revenue as possible as they transition from a search company to a cloud service and chip company - As traffic from humans becomes more scarce this will put Google in an increasingly adversarial position to the rest of the internet - This is a massive headwind to all media type companies who are not destinations - This is a massive headwind to all content-driven go-to-market motions especially in the SMB. You have seen companies like HubSpot and Monday.com get crushed by this funnel collapse We are entering the end game - a knife fight for the remaining and dwindling volume of human traffic on the internet

Yes, majority of my Dutch friends are "burn out" You get 1 year of FREE fully paid salary and then another year of 70% FREE fully paid salary and you can just sit at home and chill! You have to keep "appearances" up though because you might get snitched, so on Facetime with friends you do this schtick: "It's all too much for me" "I'm so tired" "I don't think I can go back to work yet" Meanwhile it's partyyyyyyyy time chilling at home with Netflix and popcorn Welcome to European social welfare in 2026 😂
