We're making life more affordable, while reducing emissions.
Today, we announced $2 billion to retrofit one million homes, including helping Canadians switch to heat pumps.
A warm home you can afford, powered by clean Canadian energy.

Worth watching. Carney's analysis of how the world has changed is the best I've heard from a Canadian leader - or any national leader - in a while.

Here is the full quote of Carney talking about the growth assumptions in his platform compared to the Conservative platform

The Conservative platform, which is predicated on economic growth raising revenues to lower the deficit, assumes....the budget will balance itself.

Pierre Poilievre should read the law.
The Impact Assessment Act allows for provincial substitution, to ensure a single, comprehensive review of major projects.
And recently, Cedar LNG - an Indigenous owned and operated project - did just that and was reviewed in record time.

The world has changed, and Canada is responding to our new reality with purpose and with force.

To be clear, of the projects Mr. Poilievre cited yesterday:
- 1 project (LNG Canada 2) is in fact fully approved and awaiting the company’s final investment decision.
- 3 projects are being assessed under the Harper/Poilievre Government's flawed CEAA 2012 process – which is why they are taking so long.
- 2 projects being assessed under our IAA process are delayed due to extension requests from the companies themselves.
- 5 projects began assessment in the last two years and are within the current timeline goals set under the IAA, with 3 of them expecting final decisions in the next 12 months.
Canadians should not accept these mistruths and incomplete information as a façade for shirking our Constitutional obligations and ignoring our environment.
We deserve better from our public discourse. Canadians know it’s possible to build major projects the right way - why doesn’t Mr. Poilievre?

So, this announcement is interesting since it commits to greenlight (or at least work with proponents and First Nations to approve) ten specific projects. I thought it was worth taking a look at a few of them (they are shown below): 1/
10 Projects. One Plan: Canada First.
A Poilievre government will greenlight 10 major energy projects – partnering with First Nations, bringing home powerful paycheques, and restoring Canadian energy independence.
It’s time to put Canada First, for a change.
