Alex Jones being allowed back onto Twitter is something I cannot abide - the man is the very definition of a lying scumbag - so I will be taking a break from Twitter for the foreseeable future. DMs now closed.

This is always extremely fascinating because the results are never quite what we’d expect! What people say they prefer and what they actually prefer are often quite different…
Alright, it's that time:
Welcome to the Blind Smartphone Camera Test 2023!

There’s a $3 billion dollar bet on a high-speed electric rail line between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Can America build things like this anymore? I guess we’ll find out in a few years…

I never thought I'd consider myself a fan of a vacuum cleaner (!?!), but here we are! 😜 I've had the Lupe for three years, and it's amazing. You can easily break down every part of it for cleaning, the battery life is great, and it's on sale for $479.

So here’s an idea: always give your customers a way to opt-out of freebies/bonus items. I don’t want an Insta360 t-shirt. I don’t like creating waste by accepting something I won’t use. @insta360 @Insta360service you can do better.
This article by @tomfriedman is brilliant in the way it explores the complex tapestry of history & interconnectedness of Israeli Jews and Israeli Arabs, as well as Palestinians. Well worth reading - anyone that thinks this conflict is simple is mistaken.

As much as I 💚 the Q4 "cash bonus" I get on my paycheque when I no longer have to pay social security taxes...the system needs more funds. It shouldn't top out at any limit. We need to fund Social Security and Medicare or it will collapse. A good read.

I may be the last person to realize this, but in case I’m not: I’ve always been confused that there was no print to PDF on #ipadOS. I was looking for Save As > PDF, but it turns out the path to get a PDF is the share sheet; when you select email you get your PDF attachment. 😎
PartyRock is OUT! AJ is one of many #awscommunity members who have helped us test earlier this week prior to release. Thank you AJ and everyone else in the #awscommunitybuilders and #awsheroes communities who participated. 🙌
I've been playing with PartyRock for a bit –
Check out this example I built which can generate dependency files (package.json, go.mod, etc) for your applications based on your needs!

Apple claiming their M-series machines need less RAM is confusing. Because of the integrated CPU/GPU, there is no dedicated video memory, so when I bought my Mac Studio + MBP I bought *more* RAM because of that. Someone set me straight if that’s incorrect

If you’re not using Keepa (keepa.com) or something similar to track historical prices on Amazon, and to get alerts when things drop to your preferred price, you’re missing out on savings. It’s like buying stocks on the dip. 😜
I finally gave up waiting for @soundcoreaudio to release Liberty 4 Pro ear buds - it’s been two years since the 3’s came out - when today I saw Google Pixel Buds Pro for $119 from Amazon and snagged them (price bounced back up to $179). Quite impressive so far. Smart features.
Shopping for Windows laptops as a gift for a family member is just so painful. 😣
Every OEM thinks that having 20-50 options to choose from is somehow the right thing to do. Hard to parse it all. They often hide what’s important (battery life, size) and emphasize silly things.
The revisionist history surrounding AI is reaching comical levels. @Intuit would like us to believe in 2018 they were "driving AI innovation". Machine learning, maybe, but generative AI didn't exist in any form usable by companies as far as I know. This "AI everything" is silly.
Did you know we live in a world where you can order "books by the foot"? Meaning books based on colour to go on a shelf to look nice, but that you've never read. I find that almost incomprehensibly vain and silly.
Yet Google showed *ME* the ad, so... 😂

An excellent read on the current state of #EV adoption, which is at the "It's complicated" relationship stage with the general public.
The early adopters have done their thing, now the hard work of winning over the mainstream market begins.

A fantastic short video by Seth Godin on the difference between a brand and a logo. Everyone who works in marketing should watch this and take it to heart.
