Friends,
Have symptoms but no answers? Tired of being told, “Oh, that’s just because your child has Down syndrome”?
We’re living that. Our son Iron Will has significant immune system issues, and we’re learning how to care for him and how to advocate for him within the medical system.
Watch this video from my wife, Cathy. She shares our journey and why this Wednesday’s webinar matters so much.
Understanding Immune Dysregulation: What Parents Need to Know
🗓 Wednesday, October 28 | 7:00 PM Central | FREE
With Dr. Melissa Gans, Pediatric Allergist and Immunologist at the University of Miami
When a child’s immune system isn’t regulating properly, the signs can be confusing, inconsistent, and easy to overlook. Symptoms can show up across multiple systems of the body with no clear explanation and no obvious place to turn. It’s overwhelming, especially when doctors won’t look past the diagnosis to find out what’s actually going on.
Dr. Gans will explain immune dysregulation from a parent’s perspective:
· What it looks like in everyday life
· Symptoms you shouldn’t overlook
· Available testing and treatment
· How to find the right medical team
This is the first in a series of sessions on recognizing, diagnosing, and treating immune dysregulation in people with Down syndrome.
Register for the webinar here:

Please share this post and invite others, whether or not they have a loved one with Down syndrome. You never know who needs it.
Thank you!

🚨Calling all prayer warriors 🙏
Super Bubba, our three-year-old brain cancer warrior, has his sedated brain MRI today.
This is the first full brain scan since Gamma Knife and starting treatments.
I’m terrified and hopeful at the same time.
God has a plan for Super Bubba.
Please pray the tumors are gone or unchanged.
We are still believing and praying for his second miracle. 🙏💛💪🎗️

A person's worth never changes. Their needs do. So we show up at every stage.
October is both Down Syndrome Awareness Month and Respect Life Month. At Team Iron Will, we don't see two observances. We see one truth, said twice: every life has value.
That's why we're launching Champion Hope. For Life.
It's our $210,000 year-end campaign to equip, educate, and advocate for people with Down syndrome, from conception through childhood into adulthood.
Since March, you've helped us support 627 families. Be the reason the next one doesn't face a hard day alone.
Give once, or join the Champion Circle at $21/month, one for every extra copy of the 21st chromosome.

Best D3 ever!
I said Iron Will could get a job outside the home if his chores were done.
So he got a gig working for @everylife as a Diaper Delivery Dude (D3). Check out the vid below!
Which works out great because @everylife is generously sending Team Iron Will diapers for us to deliver or mail to families in need!
Check out their Buy For a Cause program at EveryLife.com/BFAC
From now through October 9th, in honor of Down Syndrome Awareness Month, just $50 supplies a full month of EveryLife diapers and wipes to a family raising a little one with Down syndrome. And the more diapers purchased, the more families we can help directly!
That's one less thing on the family’s plate, and a whole lot more time for snuggles, appointments, and celebrating every milestone!

On this day last year, Super Bubba finished his hospital goal board.
Go, Go, Go. Walk the room. 9/29. Go home to Ronald McDonald House. 9/30.
Sixteen days in a bed.
Radiation burns.
Then we carried him out.
That was God.
That was his first miracle still unfolding.
Today he is three.
Second battle.
Brain cancer.
Still go, go, going.
Eating.
Playing with his baby brother.
The slide.
Chalk on the driveway that says Super Bubba.
Last year the goal for the day was to go home.
Today the goal is to grow up.
They call pediatric cancer rare so they can fund it like it is rare.
It is not rare.
It is the leading disease killer of children in America.
Kids like him still get adult drugs dosed down and hoped for the best.
Early brain cancer trial networks that could have given him more options have been cut.
We need funding that matches the lives at stake.
We need treatments built tiny bodies, not leftovers from adult protocols.
I believe God will give him a second miracle.
A chance to grow up.
If you pray, pray with me now.
Please share so more hearts ride with him. 🎗️💛🙏 @Grok #ChildhoodCancerAwareness #GlobalPrayer #PediatricCancer #PowerOfPrayer

🚨 Urgent prayer request for Super Bubba, our 3-year-old brain cancer warrior.
This is the sound. Same gasping between breaths. Same “stridor.”
Still no explanation, only worsening.
This is the third time we are taking him in for this.
No oxygen distress.
Just hours of that sound while he tries to watch his show, eat, or play.
Please pray the doctors have the wisdom to figure this out and give him comfort.
Please share so he can receive global prayers. 🙏🎗️

⚠️MISSING PERSON⚠️
If you see Mae or have information about her location, please contact the Weld County Sheriff's Office immediately. Thank you!
Weld County Sheriff’s Office Continues the Search for 19-year-old Mae Foos
[Weld County, COLO.] On Sept. 12, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. Weld County Sheriff’s Office Patrol responded to a call of a runaway juvenile northeast of Kersey in the 23000 block of Weld County Road 61.
During the investigation, patrol deputies learned 19-year-old Mae Foos was seen on camera leaving her residence in the 23000 block of Weld County Road 61 at 2:30 p.m. Deputies learned Mae has a history of running away from home, for about three hours but according to her family, she has never left the family property. When Mae did not return home after the expected period of time, the family contacted the sheriff’s office.
When Mae left her residence, she was wearing a blue t shirt, grey shorts, black hat and carrying a black backpack. Mae’s last known location was at Weld County Road 59 and Weld County Road 48 on Sept. 12, at 3:30 p.m. southwest of her residence.
Mae has been diagnosed with level 2 autism and is verbal but struggles to communicate when under stress. Her parents said she moves slower than most and does tire out quickly.
Last night, the Kersey Police Department assisted the sheriff’s office with searching, for Mae. The Greeley Police Department and the sheriff’s office put up drones to search for Mae, but they did not find her. A statewide BOLO was issued through the National Crime Information Center. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation also published an endangered missing alert for Mae.
Mae’s family and the Kersey community were also out driving the area for most of the night last night searching for her.
Today, the Weld County Sheriff’s Office command bus was deployed at the Foos residence and unified command has been established there.
Search efforts continued today with Kersey Fire Search and Rescue coordinating the search with drones. A Fire Rescue Search K-9 was deployed, along with the sheriff’s office K-9’s. Weld County Sheriff’s Office posse members were deployed to include the mounted unit, ATVs, and foot search volunteers. Colorado Search and Rescue also deployed assets to assist in the search in addition to WCSO investigations and patrol deputies.
The Kersey Police Department has been keeping a close watch on the town for Mae and one of their School Resource Officers responded to assist us. In addition, around noon today the Kersey Police Department searched Platte Valley Highschool but did not find Mae.
The Chevron company has made Mae’s description known to their drivers, and they have checked the company’s pad cameras west of residence but have not reported any further information.
The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office also assisted us by responding to Mae’s grandparents’ residence in Wiggins. MCSO thoroughly checked the property, but there was no evidence of Mae being there.
WCSO is still following up on a possible sighting of Mae in Berthod at approximately 6 p.m. last night. The sheriff’s office is working to gain access to camera system to confirm if the sighting was Mae.
The Platte Valley Protection District helped the sheriff’s office with a fire assist this morning when they were notified Mae was missing. They also formed a unified command with the sheriff's office and are in a coordinated effort to attempt to locate Mae.
The Weld County Office of Emergency Management also responded at the request of Platte Valley Protection District to assist with logistical orders and any other planning or support for the search mission.
Based on the sheriff’s office investigation, we do not suspect foul play in Mae’s disappearance, and investigators now believe she has intentionally run away. The sheriff’s office intends to continue the search effort for Mae and are asking for the community’s help by keeping an eye out for Mae and contacting the sheriff’s office at (970) 350-9600 or the WCSO tip line at (970) 304-6464 or email your tips to [email protected].

This day last year, Super Bubba was undergoing proton radiation to his entire lower abdomen, including his groin, for cancer in his prostate (RMS).
During his proton therapy that included 28 rounds, he suffered a severe radiation burn and an infection that nearly took him.
By the grace of God he recovered and beat that cancer. His first miracle.
He is such a strong and brave little boy. He is so full of life, and he has already been through unimaginable pain and suffering at just three years old.
Now he is in his second battle, this time in his brain. Watching him suffer through it is much harder. I cannot explain it other than that it hurts more this time.
If you pray, please say a prayer for Super Bubba. Pray he gets a second miracle and becomes cancer-free.
Thank you for riding this journey with us. 🎗️💛🙏
