Rochelle belongs in the conversation about who shaped 2010s R&B. But PLEASE don’t flatten her story into the same path as artists who had major label backing, and exposure. Its VERY different over here. Respectfully. She built her career without a machine behind her.. She showed it was possible to move that way.. as a RnB artist..thats why I hate the conversation cause there's context and nuance that people leave out.
