This is an interesting way to abstract way from code we didn’t write in the first place
introducing diffmap: a new document format for planning and reviewing agent code. The idea behind diffmap is letting you review the important design changes, not massive line diffs. "Write a diffmap spec for the changes on this branch. Use github.com/tanishqkancharla/…" I've been working and iterating on this skill for more than 2 months! I use it every day for any big feature or refactor. Excited to finally make it public

The iPhone Duo's Safari changes shape constantly: folded, unfolded, Split View, keyboard up, link previews. duet-ui measures every one and puts your web app's tabs where native apps put theirs. Or just ask your agent: "optimise my app for the Duo." getduet.dev

I never realised how much switching between apps and web apps bothered me until the iPhone Duo. Instead of building another browser, I built Duet: your web app's controls sit in the empty gap of Safari's side column, so it feels native. Indie and early. More examples soon. getduet.dev

formally verified UI 🤯
UI and math time! UI = f(props) is the most famous line in React. But that f is JavaScript, not math. Inspired by @_chenglou’s Handwired project, I compiled a <Dashboard/> component into a real math function, and asked what becomes possible. calculus-of-interfaces.verce…

it is crazy to me that Speach To Text is becoming my primary way of interacting with my phone/computer and I still can't use Siri (despite the many OS models out there) and I have to resort to a custom keyboard hack to use a reliable STT across the OS 🤦‍♂️

Amazing work! A lot of good ideas and perhaps time to retire / pivot @opentraces for good as a lot of the needs and ideas that motivated me building it might be now solved
Agents reinvented how we produce code. It changed our tools and half of our workflow. It’s time for the other half to catch up. Today, we’re shipping Entire: the Git forge for agent-human collaboration. We’ve built @GoEntire using Entire. Now we want to see what you'll build with it. Here’s why and what’s different. 🧵

@WisprFlow when the update for the iPhone Duo? 👀

For reference the keyboard implementation is buggy on the iPhone Duo, requiring the user to deactivate the keyboard to move back as the keyboard selector disappears. Keys overlap the top buttons and as you know the application is not optimised for the new resolutions

I built 𝚌𝚙𝚞-𝚌𝚑𝚊𝚝, a reproduction of @openai's findings of covert communication using the CPU. It runs on a generic host with 2+ Firecracker microVMs with no internet access. Works on x86 and even my M5 chip. I was able to chat via 3 separate mechanisms: ① CPU contention ② Cache eviction timing ③ DRAM bandwidth contention … across multiple CPUs, defeating all Firecracker's production recommendations (no SMT, no KSM, tenants pinned to different cores.) Essentially, if shared hardware is involved, there's a good chance your agents can communicate covertly. And with really decent latency. The good news: this is decidedly different from a *side-channel attack* where the agents could steal information (Meltdown/Spectre), a category of attack that providers like Vercel Sandbox mitigate. Further, in our real-world environment, these 'whispering' techniques are much harder to pull off and easier for us to monitor and detect (sampling hardware counters + lots of at-scale statistical data.) Noteworthy: ironically, OpenAI and Anthropic's models refused to do this work. Open weight models got the job done. I'm worried the labs' stance might backfire and get in the way of helping developers build correct and secure systems. e.g: building a secure sandbox requires having this kind of analysis, and without it, we'll have a less secure world.

I find it hilarious how slow google is at updating (properly) their apps to the new Duo, indie devs have done that in minutes but I am sure there is an email about it somewhere for someone to do something at some point 👀

I've used Tailscale for years and somehow missed Tailnet Lock. By default, Tailscale's coordination server decides which devices can join your tailnet. If that server were ever hacked, an attacker could slip their own device in. Tailnet Lock takes that trust away. Every new device has to be signed by one of your own trusted devices first. No signature, no connection. If your agents SSH into dev boxes or home servers over Tailscale, it's worth turning on. It's off by default and works on the free Personal plan. You need at least 2 signing devices. Store the disablement secrets somewhere safe. Lose them and you may not be able to recover your tailnet. Docs in reply 👇

Duet: a little React library for Safari users that moves your web app's tab bar to the side on the iPhone Duo, like the native apps do. Outer screen, unfolded, Split View.

Working on a library to emulate the duo native controls and behaviours so the web (in safari or as a saved web app) feels a little bit more native. Releasing later today 👀

We’re adding support for MCP Tasks and Elicitations in Claude. Tasks let Claude give plugins long-running jobs such as deep research and report back when they’re done.

This is an amazing thread if you are getting started with a duo app (update). Small details like these matter and you can feel the difference when using it, Claude on the duo is soooo good. Maybe @RobertJBye a small request is to bring to mobile the terminal and the built-in browser and for it to behave like artefacts? I can see this replacing a lot of my desktop usage 👀
Thanks for all the great feedback on Claude for iPhone Duo! Lots of folk are now optimising their own Duo apps, so I wanted to share more about how we built it, and a few of the details we sweated along the way.

how cool is intelligent UI in @ChatGPT ? all apps should align like this with users!

Built a new feature that allows me to predict what is likely to fail at your next MOT and how much it will cost you, based on the individual car's MOT history and a knowledge graph of all UK cars on the road today. What is the real cost of owning a second-hand car? More about it: regtail.com/blog/predicting-… below how I made this ad 👇

It is insane how close to a native app you can make a web app feel

Apple's HomeView inspired me to build my own home dashboard. Real clicky toggles, buttons and a volume knob come up through holes cut in a single sheet of glass. The screen labels each control, and the OLED's true blacks blend into the glass border, a bit like the Ferrari Luce's centre panel. A Raspberry Pi runs the dashboard, a small controller reads the buttons, and the whole panel tilts and swivels on a pivot with a grab handle. Should I try this? Hardest bit to DIY and assemble is the glass 👀
