I agree with you. Completely. My own is that I will not vote for him until he makes drug trafficking a death penalty offence.
If I have a reason to vote in 2027, I will not be voting for President Tinubu for one reason and that is because of the kid-glove approach towards fighting fake products in Nigeria. It is no longer a fight that NAFDAC must be left alone to fight. Clearly, NAFDAC has proven to be overwhelmed and cannot fight the fight. NAFDAC is limited in resources, manpower and even by legislation. By now, I expected the President to have declared a national state of emergency on fake products. Fake products manufacturers and sellers are targeting the people of Nigeria in their millions to kill them one by one, while still profiting from it in billions. If the President cannot declare a national emergency on them, he should proscribe them as terrorists and treat them as one, because that is who they are. Economic terrorists and human terrorists. People spending their hard earned money to buy these products, will still have to spend to seek medical care and the unlucky ones die for no good reasons. Is it until these people eliminate all of us that he will act on it? Refusing to be aggressive and treat these criminals as who they are is really vexing me so bad. How about people’s businesses that they are also destroying? #endfakeproducts #nationalemergency

What if I tell you most of these Igbo boys who are caught in the Asia were sent by their big bosses living somewhere in choicest areas of Nigeria like Ikoyi, Maitama etc. There was a drug bursting that recently happened in Lagos island, what happened? Tinubu visited the DG of NDLEA the matter ended.
Some Igbo men are caught for moving drugs in Malaysia. I have never in my life seen Igbos protest that the lives of those men be spared. Even those caught know it's the end of the road. Tinubu has been fingered in pushing drugs at scale to the point he had to settle. Yet, some of his brothers want him to continue as President. The lack of self-awareness is something.

Ask your Doctor, Doctor... Let me as a Doctor answer this ignorant Opeyemi Famakin. 1 The tribe with the highest number of CKD and Dialysis is not the Igbos. According to most epidemiological studies, NorthEastern states like Borno, Yobe, Jigawa rank tops in Nigeria, perhaps another problem here might be Dialysis coverage from lack of abundant facilities. Closely followed will be many of the Southwestern states like Ogun, Ekiti... The predominant Igbo states don't rank tops for CKD and Dialysis. 2 Inasmuch as we are fighting against Fake drugs and Drinks... the top causes of CKD in Nigeria still remains conditions like High blood pressure, Diabetes , of course Nephrotoxic substances still play a huge role. The discourse of kidney problems , fake drugs and products has no iota of ethnicity and tribalism perpetrating it. It will be unfair to label any tribe as perpetrating and a sole cause of CKD in Nigeria. This is a wrong narrative to peddle. Let us fight the general fake drug narrative without throwing in ethnic and tribal undertones.
“Dear Igbo people let’s talk. The Number 2 hub of making fake drugs in Nigeria is Kano. We know the tribe that are in Number 1. Are you guys not tired of using tribalism and Igbophobia? What are you guys doing? All of us are dy!ng of fake drugs.” — Opeyemi Famakin

In 2008, contaminated ‘My Pikin teething syrup’ manufactured by Barewa Pharmaceuticals Limited killed approximately 80 Nigerian children! The owner is a Yoruba man. The syrup contained diethylene glycol, a toxic industrial chemical that caused fatal kidney failure. Eighty innocent Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba children lost their lives to a medicine that was supposed to bring them relief.

IGBO INGENUITY. For many years, the Chinese you admire so much were globally recognized for "fake" products. Even we Africans referred to their products as "chinko." But by producing "fake" products, they improved their capacity in other capability points and have now mastered them. Every productive people looking to catch up always start with producing "fake." What Igbo entrepreneurs and scientists need to work together to do is come up with regulated systems that can trace how ingestible products are manufactured. In 3 years, NAFDAC conducted 45,000+ raids, and only attempted prosecuting 40+ of those, with majority being inconclusive. My thinking says NAFDAC themselves saw that most of the ingredients used to manufacture these products were safe but the legal basis of impersonating products remained questionable. If we standardize in-house, we will be unstoppable as the most productive black nation who ever lived.

Office politics is funny. I remember when I worked at an NGO. My role at the time was related to "Digital Learning." The Head of IT, a separate department, resigned. Based on my technical knowledge and background, I was asked to take over his portfolio alongside mine which was already quite significant at the time. I met with the Company Secretary and other Executives and agreed on taking on this new assignment. Then I proposed that, by taking on this role, I receive a 40% salary increase. My argument was, it was cheaper than bringing someone entirely new in and also paying the person a new salary. We had about 8 meetings on this and each resolution from these meetings ended in, "we can't pay you extra for this new responsibility...take this as an opportunity to show your capacity." I told them, in that case, I won't be taking on the new role. From that day I became the enemy of the MD. You want to use my skill and experience without commensurate renumeration? Nigerian employers can be funny but you also need to know how to set boundaries so you don't get used.

The level of stupidity that is prevalent among illiterate bigots is alarming. An Igbo man has never headed customs or NDLEA since 2015, but guess who this irritant is blaming for the fake drugs in Nigeria? Igbo traders. Your sitting president is a drug dealer; the one in charge of customs is a Yoruba, the one in charge of NDLEA is an Hausa, so who is allowing these imported fake drugs into Nigeria and its market? Man, tribalism fries people's brains for real!

ON THE FAKE DRUGS PANDEMIC THAT IS KILLING OUR SW BROTHERS. Tola [real name redacted], 36, is a detribalised Nigerian based in Lagos who has always been inundated on X about the fake products that allegedly emanates from the East. Tola unintentionally joins in the backlash against the "wicked" Igbos and temporarily relocates to his hometown in Ondo State to stay away from the "poison" he consumed in Lagos. While in his short stay, he recounts to his aged uncles the travails he faced while in Lagos. They tell him not to worry because he has come for cleansing. One of his uncles calls an Agbo seller, whom they had patronized for months till that time. Shortly after drinking Agbo, Tola was pronounced dead and is among the roughly 48 casualties in Ondo State. You see, when I see Yoruba tribalists talk about the fake drug pandemic, I usually challenge them of recent to show me anywhere in the South East, the alleged home of the fake product merchants, that has this statistic. None are able to. From my findings, there's a silent decimation of the Yoruba population due to the antics of its tribalists because they think that by blaming Igbos, their unrelenting deaths will wane. Go to all Yoruba occupied zones in Lagos and within the South West, you'll see Agbo sellers in their numbers hawking Agbo and many other poisons, in broad daylight, EVERY DAY. Dr. Shina on X has regularly warned many of them on X to no avail. But alas even the threat of having multiple kidney centers in the West isn't enough for Yoruba ronus, tribalists, who, as long as they have someone to blame, can go under the radar of scrutiny. I also welcome scrutiny on Igbo manufacturers. However to put the scrutiny in context, NAFDAC conducted 5,210 investigations and 45,657 surveillance operations between 2023 and 2025, but pursued only 40 cases for prosecution. Let's imagine, for the sake of argument, that 40 of those ~45,000 pursued cases were all Igbos and each of the 40 were pronounced guilty, that means 0.8% of all produced goods scrutinized were fake between 2023 and 2025, as identified by NAFDAC. READ IT AGAIN: LESS THAN 1% OF PRODUCED GOODS WERE DEEMED HARMFUL TO THE POPULACE. Don't take my word for it, check up NAFDAC prosecutions. No, 1% of cases sounds negligible but honestly shouldn't be. However the real point is that there is a bigger elephant in the room -- a class of people who are known for bleaching, taking Agbo (and similar unhealthy herbs) and such likes, that have near-term effects, who have flown under the radar till date without detection. THOSE ARE THE REAL ENEMIES. My Yorùbá brothers, look inwards before you die from speculations of a Chinedu somewhere trying to kill you. Many of these are from your own brothers who don't mind being in the spotlight at your expense. Who can say boldly that MKO Abiola was a criminal, not because they love the Yoruba kin but because they strongly believe that rhetoric such as that can bring them closer to power whether you live or die. The Igbos are not your enemies for as the Bible said, "a man's enemies are they of his own household."

Obidients are not toxic enough. There's so much restraint. A cult founder Professor once called the wife of a sitting President, "shepopotamus" in an article published in the national dailies. Omojuwa once called a sitting President a pig. And in a protest, folks, inspired by Omojuwa, paraded a cut out of a President in a coffin. Omatseye, a ragtag, makeshift journalist, wished death on a presidential aspirant by adding "tuary" to his name. For the sole reason that he's from the South East. These folks were never about issue based or policy debates. But in any case, our lack of toxicity is actually worrying. Don't relent.

There's a gentleman on Twitter that sold and I still believe, currently sells Coca-Cola, who was a notorious APC supporter during Buhari's regime. I can't remember when last I saw him on the timeline. He listened to no one who warned him that his "hustle" might not yield any dividend; he never listened but carried on with his soft drinks merchandising. At a point, Dipo CV invited him to an event of APC scoundrels somewhere in Lagos, and as usual, he came, heavily drenched in sweat, to sell 'coke.' Snapped and posted the pictures online as per "my business is moving." I don't think he was educated. Maybe a primary/secondary school leaver, and his name escapes me but I believe it starts with "E." He was persistent in the hopes, I perceive, that he could garner some social capital based on his travails on behalf of the APC. Months later, he's been relegated to nothingness. When I look back at people that supported APC who were uneducated, barely literate, but persistent, I see a recurring theme of abandonment. At least, if he had garnered a little social proof by acquiring followers like "Pst" Okezie, there would have been some use left of him. But that theme is consistent of APC supporters on and offline. They have so much faith that their own case will be different, while things turn out worse and worse as time goes by. I get sad on one hand, but on the other hand, I understand that it's just cosmic justice: your support of APC will relegate you into the cesspit of nothingness. Before you'll realize this, it may be too late.

My sweet sweet uncle who would sing and play with us when we were kids went to the North for NYSC at 30😭😭 Came back a black, hard, wicked Muslim man. He’s so evil and cold-hearted I don’t know that he still practices, but I know he’s still a mean spirited fellow
ON ISLAM. I have seen hardened criminals who became softer than a feather after accepting Jesus Christ. I have seen hardened cultists who cried and intermittently wept at the thought of their past misdeeds, and wore forgiveness and piety as a garb. I have seen hardened men touched by Jesus, to the point where, I, who grew up in a Christian home, doubt whether I'm truly Christian. I have NEVER seen someone who accepts Islam become a better person by reason of that acceptance. They become colder, meaner, more vindictive. Because by Islamic principles, you don't have an incentive to be better as a person. This is why: as long as your "good" deeds outweigh your "bad" deeds, you're good. That's why a Muslim can behead a kid for mocking the pedophile, Mohammed, today, and feel extremely happy afterwards because he gave some poor people 50k and, by that, has procured rewards in Al Jannah. It is the most unspiritual of religions. At least, the Buddhist or Hindu aspires to a greater self by meditation and whatnot. Islam aims for crass domination that aspires to nothing except the vile thoughts of a harem filled with "virgins" with whom they can explore their predatory fantasies. It's also a culture of theft, envy and jealousy. Islam doesn't care about your culture or way of life, to the point of your dressing, and how you use the bathroom. It's a concoction of an illiterate wanderer who couldn't become anything in the real world so allowed himself to be possessed with demons of anarchy. This bloodlust is not just outwards it's also inwards facing. If they can't see an external reason to fight others, however trivial, they look to themselves and self-consume with glee. The sight of blood to them is ecstatic and the more bloodshot your eyes are, the more likelihood you can become an "islamic general." That's why there's no competent Arab army the world over, they lack the unity of being top even in a field they brag about. Their prayers are indoctrinations, their lifestyles are projections, their aspirations are infatuations, and their principal goal is domination. It's a cult of death that helps no one, including its most fervent adherents. Partly because Islam is the progressive corrosion of one's conscience. Wherever you see a good muslim, know you've found one who doesn't believe follow the teachings of the quran.

Standard Chartered and Citi banks are already in Nigeria. They are UK and U.S headquartered respectively. Please what did they add to the Nigerian economy? JP Morgan already had a representative office in Nigeria before now. They are only just applying for a commercial banking licence. It's easy to anyone who has eyes that JP Morgan being in Nigeria is to the benefit of the ruling class -- a way to borrow more, create inroads to international markets, for their own benefits. Ask anyone around you who has a Citi Bank account, your guess is as good as mine. Be wise and vote wisely.
