She made a random turn just to see if the truck would follow.
It did.
When she sped up, it sped up.
She was being followed.
Then the high beams started flashing again and again.
By the time she reached her driveway, she was crying.
She threw the car in park and ran for the front door, but the truck stopped behind her.
The driver jumped out, holding a gun.
She froze.
Then he raised it and yelled, βGet down!β
A second later, he fired through her back window.
Something screamed from inside her car.
Police later found a man curled up behind her back seat, holding a knife.
See, every time he sat up to attack her, the truck driver saw him in her rear window, so he flashed his high beams and forced him to duck back down.
The truck wasnβt chasing her, he was protecting her.
