Hi everyone! Been a bit since I've been on here, but I have some good news regarding the Proteus and Wave 2. Before I get into it though, I've made a new account to help keep it separate it from my Rocket Pool work.

Going forward, I'll put all official Proteus info up as @mercadian_sys. I have a thread I'll post on there shortly with info on the start of Wave 2 and beyond. If you're interested in the Proteus, I'd suggest following that account now. Thanks all!

My Proteus device from @jcrtp_eth just got delivered! This bad boy contains a Rock 5B board that is ready to run solo Ethereum validators and Rocket Pool minipools! You don't need powerful hardware to stake ETH - you can do it from tiny boxes like this one! #stakefromhome

S/N 2 reporting for duty! Can't wait to show this orange bad boy to all my friends. Thanks @shf_ryn for the cool design on the vanity plate and @jcrtp_eth for this wonderful project (I'll be able to replace a 1000W beast with Proteus running at ~10W)! #stakefromhome @Rocket_Pool

Proteus Ethereum staking rig is finally here. Thanks to @jcrtp_eth for the build, @Rocket_Pool for the Smart Stack, and @sleety_eth for the custom label design. Name a better trio

I just received my new Proteus staking machine today and it is gorgeous 😍 Thank you @jcrtp_eth for making it happen. Can't wait to fire up a new @Rocket_Pool node and help decentralize Ethereum while only using 10 watts of power.

I received the first Proteus staking machine developed by @jcrtp_eth from @Rocket_Pool, it's a very tiny and powerful Rocket Pool staking device for $600, it runs on about 10w of electricity. youtube.com/watch?v=rsaRz3ke…

I just got the first production unit of the Proteus staking machine by @jcrtp_eth @ Mercadian. The hardware is great (pics soon), but the letter Joe includes is the most valuable thing. I can't share it, but if you understand the value of staking from home you'll get it.

Hello world! The WOHTEUS is ready to begin staking. So happy with how my PROTEUS (a custom designed, low powered, ARM #Ethereum staking machine) came out thanks to the brilliant @jcrtp_eth #rocketpool

@jcrtp_eth at @Rocket_Pool is an absolute legend. Personalized Proteus staking rig ready to rock. What is a Proteus? An affordable small-form-factor computer designed specifically for Ethereum home stakers. It uses under 10 watts of power for validation, usually only 5 watts.

Well, my power's back on, so it's time to share this with the world. After months of heads-down development, I am thrilled to announce that the Proteus low-power Ethereum home staking box is now open for reservations! youtube.com/watch?v=zNbWo6o7…

New Launch Pad is here with @jcrtp_eth, a @Rocket_Pool team member. We talk about Joe's path from quantum computing to Ethereum mining and staking. We also talk about how he joined the team and the Proteus, his new staking hardware. Watch it here:youtu.be/05ut-YsbCjs

I'm feeling like the luckiest guy in the room to get S/N: 0001 of @jcrtp_eth's Proteus staking device. It's a full stack @Rocket_Pool staking device based on the ARM Rock 5 B board with a 2TB NVMe and 16GB of RAM. About $600 if you want to reserve one here forms.gle/bSEEviSWjDZUtX4M8

3/4: @jcrtp_eth has started manufacturing the Proteus, it's a Rock 5 B that is set to run a @Rocket_Pool node out of the box for $600. It's great for a simple node or staking. Here's the reservation form: forms.gle/bSEEviSWjDZUtX4M8

Well, it's been about 24 hours since I announce the opening of reservations for the Proteus, and **the first wave of reservations has already been filled**! This is an incredible response - way faster than I expected, ESPECIALLY on a holiday weekend like this.

It's also possible that people retract their reservations, which will bump everyone behind them up into the queue so please don't feel discouraged! Save your place in the queue - it's free to reserve a spot, and it helps me plan what to order next!

Finally, I just wanted to say THANK YOU all for the encouragement and enthusiasm around this little project, I'm so excited to finally bring it to life and into your hands! We're just getting started... 2023 is going to bring a lot of fun developments in this space ;)
