Bill Maher RAVES about President Trump’s true side that he saw during both White House dinners admitting he’s very “sane,” “energetic,” and it’s like talking to a guy at a bar.
“[POTUS is] just so imperious when he's out of the White House, and when he's there, the total opposite. He never pulls rank. No matter how flippant I get, he never goes, ‘How dare you say that in the White House?’ I mean, I can talk to him just like I talk to any guy at a bar, and he does sound like a guy at a bar. Well, he does. But he just— he seems to like go in and out.”
“There are so many moments where he gets it. Like I said to him, ‘When you said the Supreme Court, they're voting against me.’ You know, that's not how the Supreme Court is supposed to work. Right. It's not about they're not voting for or against you. You appoint them, and then they make decisions. And he went, ‘Yeah, I took that one too personal.’”
“See what I mean? He gets it, and then he doesn't get it. Now, I'm an optimist. I prefer to think of the president as half sane.”
Karoline Leavitt: “He's very sane. He's a lot more sane than the last one. OK, we had a mental patient.”
Bill Maher: “He's far more energetic… He says like at the dinner table, it's amazing. We have a nice conversation. He goes, ‘You're my enemy. Pass the peas.’”

Amen.
The amazing piece of information is that @GlennJacobsTN and myself are friends. His political views are his as mine are mine. The hatred on this app is so sad. United we stand divided we fall. Everyone gets one vote. Make it count

I was clearly wrong about Anthropic. They are obviously currently the leader in AI. No company has released a model as good as Mythos/Fable and they will undoubtedly have Mythos 2 ready soon.
And I would never cut them off in a way that hurt them badly, even as a competitor. That’s not my style.
Tesla open sourced its patents and we made the Supercharger network available to all competitors, even though we could have made it a walled garden.
SpaceX launches competing satellite systems with no increase in price or use of unfair terms.
Even my worst enemies can attack me on this platform.

I’ve been tinkering with building apps with codex lately. Built 2 React Native apps, and 1 nextjs and 1 laravel web app. While I’m at a level of coding that I can understand the generated source, I’ve rarely had to go into it. Going to spend some time polishing & then ship them.

The WordPress community has a visibility-to-competence ratio problem. The loudest voices aren’t always building products of any real substance.
Posting frequency, podcast appearances, and conference stages don’t tell you how big the business actually is.
Some of the most visible people here run companies that aren’t nearly as successful as their personal brand suggests.
Building a real product, not a feature with a landing page, is harder and slower than building an audience. Post count is not a proxy for competence.
Worth keeping in mind when you’re deciding who to learn from.

The concept of a CMS as a direct manipulation tool is over.
We are in transition to the next interface.
The thing about the Amazon agentic situation is, I wonder if they tested this in isolation first or just went all in on a tool because it’s “the way of the future?” Anyways…that’s my random thought for the day 😊
The thing I enjoy the most about AI tools like Cursor or Claude, is that they empower folks like me in Engineering Management to wipe out that gap which happens when you spend less time in the code. You can use them to contribute, learn, and understand the code base.

Of everyone in the WP community, I think Mike is doing the premium experience of WP products right. This reminds me a lot of how much we cared about the customer in the early days at Woo. May your work prosper Mike!
If you’re unsure where you are headed, pray. Ask the Lord for guidance. The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
