Missing the 4th C: Cost which drives prescribing decisions often to the detriment of the patient. Reimbursement reform offered by #DISARM Act can enable physicians to prescribe the most effective instead of the cheapest drug

I’ve never had as much interest in the “Russian” side and all my life when asked about it I’ve always responded “Russian/Jewish and Japanese”. Here forward I will proudly respond “Ukrainian/Jewish and Japanese”.
My grandparents on my father’s side were from Kyiv and emigrated to the US in the 1920’s when Ukraine was transitioning to “Russia”. On my mother’s side I am Japanese and have largely identified with her side of my heritage.
So proud and impressed by this incredible accomplishment by $CDTX board member Bonnie Bassler .@WolfPrize_

Pleased to see the Biden administration supporting #AMR legislation. The #PASTEURAct is one potential pull incentive; we must work together to fix reimbursement. Complementary reimbursement reform legislation proposed in the #DISARMAct is urgently needed. bit.ly/3H1fTzi

When I began my career in '80s, I practiced what is now called “antibiotic stewardship”– the right antibiotic to the right patient. But it was “patient stewardship.” We need to reform how best antibiotics are valued and reform how insurance pays for them.sandiegouniontribune.com/opi…
