All the flowers in the world to @cassswhit, our seat flipping queen of Democratic Florida politics 👑
⬆️ Who’s rising in #FlaPol? ⬇️ Who’s headed for a political reality check? @GovRonDeSantis, @ByronDonalds, @DavidJollyFL and Tallahassee’s power players get the Capitol Directions treatment. 39 names. Zero participation trophies. Who got the arrow they deserved? #CapitolDirections buff.ly/8jgToDK

I mean I wouldn't call the largest # of house seat flips for either party in my lifetime "a few wins" but maybe that's just me

STATE SENATOR JOHN LOWNDES! Another flip! I am extra proud of this one because my team’s Field Director took time off to run this race, and we delivered. Orange County is breaking the Republican Supermajority in Tallahassee one flip at a time.

Florida Democrats knocked on 1.2M+ doors and made 5.25M calls since the primary, all without major national investment. To national Democrats: Pay attention to Florida. Invest in the South. We've built the infrastructure. We've proven we can compete. Imagine what we could do with the resources this state deserves.

We are all disappointed at the state wide results…but this is stunningly good news. There is an argument that the wave DID hit Florida, just not in the way we wanted.
Dems flipped 16 FL House seats and lost 1 – yielding the smallest GOP majority since the GOP won control of the chamber in 1996. This is the most seats any party has flipped in 60+ years.

People of Florida. Y’all better hold your damn head high. We broke state legislature super majorities because we drove turnout while everyone wrote us off. We have work to do sure, but let’s celebrate the fact we won 17 seats down ballot. I’m an organizer. And I look forward to getting back to what I love and know best. Organizing THE HELL out of my state. Let’s get to work!

The political courage of @DarrenSoto to run in a new district that was drawn to take him out and that Trump won by 18%. Winning tonight was the reward for doing the right thing when many others would not.

Tonight, I called Senator Calatayud and congratulated her on a hard-fought race. I wish her and her family well. I got into this race because of my four year old son, Leonardo, and for every family in our community struggling to make it. Families paying more every year for insurance, for rent, for groceries, for electricity, and wondering if they can afford to stay in the place they call home. So much of what is wrong with our state is self-inflicted. Insurance that costs more every year. Housing that's out of reach for the people who keep this place running. So much of it doesn't have to be this way. That was true when I started this campaign, and it's still true tonight. We came up short, but we came within the margins in a district almost no one thought we could compete in, while being outspent many times over. That happened because of the best campaign team I could have asked for. We were small but hella mighty. Thank you to every volunteer who knocked doors in the rain and stood outside polling places from seven in the morning. To the neighbors who made calls and drove each other to vote. To the supporters who gave what they could. And to the voters who took a chance on a business owner with a funny last name. To the love of my life, Martina, to Leonardo, and to my family: thank you for carrying me through this. I love you. And to everyone in this district, whether you voted for me or not: thank you. The fight for a Miami we can afford doesn't end tonight. I'm not going anywhere. As I've said all along — let's get after it.
