Atheists sometimes tell me I have to choose between God and science.
I do not, and neither do you.
There is nothing anti-scientific about the idea that an all-powerful, transcendent super-intelligence created the universe and wrote its laws.
In fact, it's far more believable to me that this is the explanation for our lawful, intelligible universe than the story I was expected to believe as an atheist - that the universe "just is" or that it's somehow lawful and intelligible despite having no intelligence or will behind it.
But what about the big bang? Is that a problem for a Bible-believing Christian?
Not at all.
Leave aside the age issue - which is frankly the least explosive part of all this - and consider how modern science has caught up with the Genesis narrative in the last 100 years. Modern science has figured out that the universe isn't eternal, as people thought for thousands of years, but suddenly came into being a finite time ago just as Genesis 1:1 describes.
I do not have to give up God to believe that. In fact, as a scientist, it's the only way I can make sense of why the universe exists at all and is the way it is.
Don't let anyone tell you that you have to choose between God's two books - the Bible and his creation. They are wonderfully compatible.

Had a patient recently come see me with Stage 4 metastatic colon cancer, at the young age of 37.
The majority of his treatment and surgeries were completed at MD Anderson in Houston, often ranked among the top Cancer hospitals in the world.
He sought me because his oncologist would not prescribe any ānon-traditionalā medications like ivermectin, Fenbendazole, or Mebendazole.
Before you jump to conclusions and start rambling about anti-parasitic, letās talk about how each of these works in the body.
Ivermectin works in cancer on WNT/TCF and PAK1āAkt/mTOR inhibition, mitochondrial respiratory suppression, chloride-driven hyperpolarization, and P2X4/P2X7-linked immunogenic cell death.
Fenbendazole works for cancer by impacting mitochondrial translocation of p53 and inhibition of glucose uptake, GLUT transporter expression, and hexokinase II, on top of moderate microtubule destabilization.
Mebendazole's main mechanisms regarding cancer are still Ī²-tubulin binding, VEGFR2 inhibition, and Hedgehog inhibition. This in turn leads to reduced glutamine markers which have downstream effects.
[Notice I didnāt say anything about parasites there.
Feel free to show this tweet to someone who doesnāt know any better.]
The oncologist actually supported their use but likely due to āpoliticsā couldnāt personally prescribe them.
So instead of 1 doctor managing all of his cancer care, he has like 5.
Unfortunate but becoming increasingly common.
At the end of the care you have to be AN ADVOCATE for yourself.
If you donāt like the answers you are getting (in medicine), continue to seek out providers until you do.

Rain has changed to snow across parts of the area, where temperatures fell below 35 degrees. Light snow accumulations are occurring on Highway 180 near Fort Valley. Be careful if traveling this evening as conditions can change quickly. #azwx

We talk so much about teaching boys the ābigā lessons in life that we skip the basics.
A lot of young men were never taught how to walk up, make eye contact, introduce themselves, speak clearly, and carry themselves with confidence.
That sounds smallā¦ until you realize those little things follow you into interviews, relationships, business, and adulthood.
Sometimes preparing a boy for life starts with teaching him how to say his own name properly.
Do not stop praying šš»
I need to share something that Iām not particularly proud of, but some people need to hear this.
The family members youāre praying for who are cussing God out, slandering Him in all facets in every way, who you kind of feel like itās too far gone: theyāre not ātoo farā gone. Seven years ago on November 6, 2019 my brother called me at 10:30.
āHey man, dads passed out at the house not breathing get there as quick as you can!ā
āMan Kenny this is a TERRIBLE joke..ā
āIām not joking get there quick. Click.ā
45 min drive turned 26. 55 mph posted speed limit. Ha. How about 85, 90? Probably should have wrecked around some curves if Iām being completely honest.
I remember seeing the blue and red light lighting up that cold damp November night. How when I parked in the yard I walked up and saw my mom crying but praying psalm 91, my SIL holding my mom and my brother smoking a cigarette praying. I come up and hug my mom.
āWhatās going onā
āThey wonāt let us in, theyāre doing everything they can.ā
We all pray together. I go to my dadās study, see psalm 91 opened. My brother had been in there reading it aloud. I read it aloud too.
My sister and her husband arrive.
What seemed like a lifetime was really only about 20 mins when the EMT called us in.
āMaāam, Iām sorry, we did everything we could. We called Baptist Hospital and talked to head of cardiology. Thereās nothing we didnāt exhaust. Iām so sorry maāam.ā They worked on my dad for an hour.
The shriek my mom let outā¦man for a few years that noise devastated me.
Funeral happened, I had to call places and people I didnāt want to. Dad was about to start a new job and had to talk to them.
āYour new hire, Richard, Iām his son Caleb, Iām calling to inform you he has passed away.ā
The next year and half I back slid.
Didnāt read the Bible and didnāt pray
I was hurting.
I was mad at God
I cussed God out.
Used His Name in vain like it was a regular
Word-He could have done what He did with Korah- split the earth and swallowed me whole- and He would have been justified.
But He didnāt
Listen friends, I was NOT pleasant to be around in those days. I was depressed, angry, back slidden on my way to hell.
But just like the prodigal son, I came home.
God restored me, brushed me off and crowned me. He corrected me no doubt, but it was all done in love to restoration.
God brought me out of the pit. He could have left me there and had every right to. But His love said āNo! Thatās MY BOY! Take your filthy hands off, Satan! HE IS MINE!!ā
And I am His! Oh hallelujah!
What God did for me, He WILL do for your family! Do NOT stop praying for them. Do not stop believing! He can and He will!
I was today years old when I learned of Cortical Labs.
Transhumanism.

The PHP vulnerability is really wild. I was pleasantly surprised to learn this about @wordpressdotcom today:
All WordPress.com-hosted sites run their own PHP builds and are already protected. No user action needed.

š¦Yup...Iāve been uneasy about this one since Muse launched. Banks catch fraud by knowing itās you on the other end, and some of them now canāt tell you from the software. If you connect your bank to Muse, Meta stores that login on its own computers. Meta has also said a shady website could eventually trick the AI into doing something you never asked for.
If an agent moves money on its own, I doubt the bank pays you back, because you handed over the password. Iād keep these things far away from your bank account for now.

Color the ordinary black-and-white activities of your daily life with prayer.
While washing your hands or taking a drink: āThank you, dear Father, for clean water.ā
While getting dressed: āClothe me in your righteousness, O Christ.ā
While talking with a friend or stranger, silently pray: āLord, bless and keep them.ā
And, in all circumstances, āLord have mercyā or āJesus, help me.ā
As a general rule, shorter prayers prayed more often are to be preferred over longer prayers prayed less often.
Punctuating your walking, talking, working, and other plain activities with brief prayers is a discipline worthy of fostering and encouraging.

šØBREAKING: Pastor Hills Emmanuel has been found dead in Plateau State, Nigeria.
He was abducted Friday with Pastor Gabriel Joseph Dipak while traveling from Jos to Bokkos. Gunmen set a roadblock on the Barkin LadiāBokkos road ā witnesses said less than a mile from military checkpoints. They pulled the two pastors from a minivan carrying nine people.
Emmanuelās body was found Saturday near the abduction site. He was a former Dunamis pastor and founder of The Wonderful Grace of God Evangelical Ministry in Bokkos.
Dipak was still in captivity as of Saturday. The abductors had contacted his family.
The same night, other attacks were reported across Plateau. At least four more people were killed in separate incidents in three local government areas.
Mainstream media and celebrities won't say a thing about this. Keep praying for the persecuted church!
