It's not first impressions that last, it's bad impressions. You can be awesome and nobody will care, but a single fuck up will be remembered forever. – at Berlin, Germany

Lars Jørgensen is the CEO of Novo Nordisk, a global giant producing half the world's insulin and now a powerhouse with Ozempic. It's the richest company in all of Europe. Yet behind the success lies a grueling reality—and a moral dilemma. wired.trib.al/hIOxOKa

I, too, am dreaming of a white Christmas, but thanks to global fucking warming, that's not a thing anymore.

I hear a lot of talk that we should be living in a post scarcity society by this time, and that any scarcity we do see is artificial. But then we see industries where we have a post scarcity situation, and people hate it. See book publishing and photography, for example.

I feel like maybe if TikTok is being forced into a sale, and they don't want to sell, their stuff might get forcibly sold to someone who has recently bought another social network, and is buddies with a prominent politician. Wouldn't that be convenient...

Why run car ads in a city where it is impossible to park?

How does one acquire henchmen? Henchwomen? Henchpeople? Is there some site for recruitment? Do they expect a salary? Is there an interview process?

Do homes for the elderly include gigabit internet these days? I'm pretty sure they'll have to by the time it's my turn to live in them

Weird West has an interesting story, but the combat and gameplay is absolutely atrocious. It's too bad. I had high hopes.

So Bethesda and wow developers have unionized. That's great. But why form two unions? Aren't they better off forming a giant video game developers union together? If there is strength in numbers, wouldn't you want even larger numbers?

This salted caramel ice-cream isn't very salted. It's incredibly caramelly, though. Someone needs to balance their ratios...

"technical death" is a fantastic mispronounciation/mishearing of "technical debt" :)

I don't think a recipe site should be allowed to claim that something is super easy to make if it has 12 ingredients.

I had to stop reading the witcher. I got about 3.5 books in, and it just wasn't very well written. It really wasn't capturing my imagination, it was slow and plodding, and just outright boring.

You know what I miss? Gas stations. Especially late at night. Living in the city means I don't have a car, which in turn means I don't need gas stations. But I miss going in there for a drink or snack. There's a special atmosphere in gas stations.

Interesting trick used by scammers over DMs. They invite you to click on a link which appears to lead to the calendly website, but if you check the resulting URL, you will end up somewhere else (i.e., hxxps://calindaly[.]com/). How does this work?

TFW you have time and energy for your side projects, but you don't have any interesting side projects...
