Our advisor @baileyelaine recently joined OpenAI as Head of Community, working with ChatGPT’s early and emerging adopters to shape how the product can deliver sustained value over time. We met up recently to discuss -- 📖 OpenAI’s ambition for “scaled access to intelligence” 🤲 How to engender trust with product in an AI-driven world ↔️ OpenAI's emphasis on "building with reciprocity" 💨 The unprecedented pace of ChatGPT's growth, who their earliest adopters are, and how that's rewired how they build Links to the interview on Spotify and on our site -- open.spotify.com/episode/7IN… runyon.io/behavior-business

So excited to share Tertulia’s public launch 🙏 We co-founded and incubated @JoinTertulia with the thesis that book discovery is still an unsolved problem online: where do you go when you’re curious to find smart, tailored book recommendations? nyti.ms/3tgRvVW

After months of research + design with readers, authors + practitioners in the space, we worked to craft an experience and strategy that orients book discovery around “vetted voices” – giving readers credible recommendations from the people they respect and admire most.

In short, if a book has moved someone enough to get them talking, you can find it, buy it, and share it all on Tertulia. If you consider yourself an avid reader, we hope you’ll give it a try @JoinTertulia @scwilich

Have been quiet here of late, but picking our heads up to share a series we've started: Behavior & Business, exploring the intersection of design, venture & strategy, and the human behaviors that underlie great products⚡️ Our first guest is @scottbelsky: runyon.io/behavior-business

We covered a lot, but loved @scottbelsky unpacking "the interface layer," a post/theory of his on design's disproportionate role in dictating product and venture outcomes: "Choices are made in the front-end experience of everything."
Because my wife isn’t on Twitter, I can say this video from @StarksTheDunk , gifted to me by @jfrizk, is the best birthday present I’ve ever received. Bonus: Starks putting up for debate whether Jordan is actually the best ever

the best book I read in 2019. extraordinary writing.
When I wrote this sentence in A GENTLEMAN IN MOSCOW, I did not foresee it landing here - in front of a 105-year-old tire shop on a corner in SF’s Tenderloin district (which is slotted for redevelopment). It’s sort of an apotheosis, actually.
